“Not sure why it took me so long to write a review for this spot. But I’ve been coming here for a few years now, and I gotta say. I’ve tried açaí bowls from plenty of other spots, but this has been my #1 for a while. They are delicious and reasonably priced. Staff is great too and I like ordering makes it easy to get.“

I wanted to try the Nutella and green tea macroons however they were sold out. I settled for the fruity pebble and I loved it.“

“Major props to Los Alpes Ice Cream. I get nostalgic every time I come here. I have been visiting since I was a kid and the memories I have from this place are all great. The quality is just as good today as it was back then. I literally met my best friend here over 30 years ago and the interior still looks exactly the same.
I love coming here every chance time permits when I am visiting Los Angeles. It is one of those places that brings me right back and it never disappoints.
The flavor selection is amazing. Even though I usually keep it simple with cookies and cream, I have a hard time resisting the mamey and nuez every single time. Their ice creams are packed with ingredients. Cookies and cream is loaded with actual cookies and the nuez has that perfect nutty richness in every bite.
The staff and owner are always attentive, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. This place is a true Los Angeles institution. It still surprises me how many people do not know about this gem. If you have never been, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will see why it has been around for decades.“

“If you’re looking for a delicious matcha yuzu lemonade you have to try theirs. It’s not on the menu so you have to ask the baristas if they can make it. Whenever I go to coffee shops that have yuzu lemonade I always ask if they can add matcha to it. Anko’s is the best!!! Their matcha actually blends with the lemonade. It doesn’t taste weird and gritty. I would also absolutely recommend their taiyaki is also really nice and crispy and not too sweet!“

I tried the matcha, chocolate, and durian flavors and they were all absolutely delicious. The texture of the snow ice was so light and fluffy, it literally melted in my mouth.

“Classic Taiwanese food. They hit me with the Mandarin the minute I stepped inside and I was totally unprepared for that to happen but it was chill.
Service is very fast. The price is not super cheap but it is reasonable. We got 麻辣豆乾 (spicy bean curd), 香腸 (Sinbala sausage), 炸排骨乾麵 (fried pork chop dry noodles), and 扣肉飯 (pork belly rice). The portions are pretty large. The pork chop was dry but crispy, so I have mixed feelings about that one.
They take card if you order more than $30 worth of food. I’d love to come back to try their shaved ice because I hear it’s better than Meet Fresh!“

“Italian ice was colorful and refreshing with just the right amount of soft serve to ice ratio. Just when I was running out of soft serve I found more at the bottom lolSundae was perfect amount of chocolate and whipped cream. Banana milkshake has fresh bananas combined with thick, creamy ice cream. Overall, a delight!“
“The restaurant on the third floor that used to have mariachi shows is boarded up and closed. They been closed since the Covid shutdown. Everything else is open. There is still plenty of food and small booths selling leather goods, makeup, piñatas, traditional Mexican dresses and shirts, and lots more.“

“Super kind and friendly owners. Delicious Antojitos! Elotes/esquite , Hot Cheetos w/Cheese , Raspados (try the Fresa w/vanilla add lechera), bionicos and more! They do not sell Liquor but they do sell/prepare Michelada Cups (Liquor store down the street). They accept Zelle & Hours vary some days.“

“Best place to get raspados!! All the flavors are made with real fruit, all natural. They also have ice cream, which is delicious. It almost tastes like they make it in house as well. They also have other little snacks like chips with nacho cheese. I highly recommend this place!

“The best place ever!!!! Extremely clean, very friendly staff and excellent customer service. It is a good thing I do not ever make someone else's unfortunate experiences my own. Had I believed the first posted comment for this place, I would had missed the best sandwich and natural fruit juice I had ever had. I would recommend Ms. Lucy Rivera to give this place a second chance now that it is being managed by the new owners. I am positively sure she would want to get rid of the negative comment she made on this place and would want to recommend it to all her friends and family. Give it a try, you are going to love it!! “I came in on 12/27 around 2pm and there were 2 guys working ( Anthony and someone else I didn't catch his name tag)They were dealing with a crazy customer who was yelling at them, talking down at them over a small upcharge they didn't want to pay for. They took care of the rest of us in line while still handling her which I really appreciate. They didn't deserve that treatment and still kept a smile on their face. They kept a good attitude despite someone being rude and entitled!“

“This place is not called el Piquin Mexican Grill anymore. it’s called Taqueria La Fogata and since they have changed owners. the food has been so much better and more delicious than ever before. everything on the menu is great especially their chicken that they specialize in. every type of food from breakfast lunch and dinner. They never disappoint and always great outdoor seating and staff is wonderful. ????“
