“This is the best Safeway in all of Humboldt county. First off this is the only Safeway that is always stocked and has almost everything all the time. They also have the freshest veggies and fruits on display. The lines are so fast because the managers will hop on a register and open up if it is busy. The deli is the best deli as the food is fresh and always hot. The deli area is also always stocked with delicious options. Now let's talk about the staff. Every single staff member is so kind and helpful. They maintain such a positive attitude all day with smiles on their faces. The floral department is always set up so beautifully with only fresh flower choices. Thank you Safeway for all giving the local community the best food options.“

“Ok, so, short story of how we ended up here - back in the 80s, my mom lived in the apartment right above the music shop, which is located across the way from Los Bagels. When I told her I was here visiting Arcata, she mentioned a bagel place near her old abode. I'm not sure if it's the exact same bagel place, but sure enough, we found bagels.... and yummmmmI really enjoyed the vibe, especially the friendliness of the staff (that's huge for me as I worked at Starbucks for over a decade. Good customer service is key). I got a jalapeño bagel, toasted with cream cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, and "slug slime," which is an everything topping (sesame seeds, poppy seeds, onion, and garlic? I'm not 100% on that, but it's bomb!).My bagel was so delicious and I am grateful. These bagels remind me of the ones from New York in the Jewish neighborhoods; smaller and dense as they are water boiled.Thank you so much for my breakfast, Irene and Brie. “I used to work at northtown for about two years. And I can tell you there is something very magical about this place. I have met a lot of really cool and amazing people here and made life long friends. It has this essence and energy to it that makes you feel welcome. Not only as an employee but as a customer. I have had a bunch of family and friends come up here and visit me and they have always come here to support it. Because of the unique and beautiful drinks and the unique and beautiful people. It’s a place where you can study, hangout, people watch, or all of the above. Give it a try. Don’t be obnoxious about the prices. It’s all organic and it’s located in rural area. Expect places around here to be a little more on the costly side. Doesn’t make it any less good, you’re just helping support the business and the community.“

“I really can't say anything bad about los Bagels. I get a plain bagel scramble with ham, cheese, and eggs. My daughter gets a plain bagel with cream cheese, lox, and capers. Super delicious, the staff is friendly and the store is inviting with a lot of other things to purchase.“
“I like the outlet. I specifically went there knowing I wanted to use texas toast bread to make french toast. The prices are good but being an outlet store I try not to buy what won't be eaten shortly after purchase. I know the price here was low because right after I went to the restaurant supply store and noticed my savings.“

“My partner took me here for a birthday treat. I got a raspberry lemonade cupcake and he got a coconut cream pie cupcake. They were beautifully decorated, the cake was moist and fluffy, the icing was perfect and there was a delicious filling in the center of each. I really like the way the shop is decorated too, it made for a cute experience. Definitely recommend!“

“We've lived in nearby Santa Rosa for 10 years and this is the first time we've visited this nice little restaurant. The fault is ours; not the restaurant's. We had a delightful breakfast, pancakes with a side of bacon for me; an omelet for wife. BIG servings! Delicious. My pancakes were plate-sized. Wife said her omelet was delicious but next time she'd order the one-egg version. The oven fried potatoes were enough for two meals. (I took what she couldn't eat for tomorrow's breakfast.) The only downside was a bill for $48, for the two dishes a coffee and an espresso. Kinda pricy..“
