“One of the few (only?) places in McKinleyville that offers a large assortment of baked goods and pastries alongside excellent coffee. There are usually a few savory sandwiches offered as well.

We were particularly impressed by the fact that the iced coffee includes coffee ice cubes, yay!

Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Because of the open plan layout within a small space, the location is fine for a quick bite and chat, but not particularly atmospheric for a longer hangout.“

“The woman who manages the restaurant is a very hard worker and kind, it's obvious she's dedicated to the job. The dining area and restrooms
are always very clean there's a older gentleman who does a wonderful job keeping the place clean. Even when this restaurant gets very busy between the drive thru, curbside pickup and dine in customers they are able to complete orders in a reasonable amount of time and very seldom do they make mistakes on orders. Which I greatly appreciate because my order is pretty specific and I'm on a limited amount time during my lunch break. Anyone passing through the area and trying to decide whether to stop at the Arcata or McKinleyville location. I highly recommend stopping by this one to grab a bite to eat while driving through the area

“this place is great and normally I love everything, the Mom and Pop vibes and the old fashioned style shop. the donuts are extremely good. and even though yesterday, the lady who works the counter was frowning at me the whole time, I still recommend them. but she really needs to stop that, it made me uncomfortable. the man working with her was polite, and she was saying polite things and being polite.. just with a look on her face that made me feel like I had inconvenienced her by coming in. heck, I still recommend them, everyone can have a bad day and a surly staff can be amusing.“

“I routinely come here and they are so nice and honestly underrated. They have really good everything and they are seldom crowded while other coffee places are a 15 minute wait. They have two windows. Look for the less crowded one because some people miss this.“

It’s made with local and organic products whenever possible and the best part is that it leaves you feeling satisfied, full and feeling great. They’re my favorite breakfast spot in all of Humboldt but they make delicious lunches too. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you totally should!“
