“I ate breakfast at The Plaza Restaurante on Wed April 23, 2025. I had an omelet. It was huge. Very delicious, too. The waitress was wonderful! Sorry I didn’t get her name to give a shoutout to. She kept the restaurant very clean & sparkling. They are also dog friendly with patio dining in front. 🐶 I would recommend The Plaza Restaurante in Mecca, CA whole heartedly.”

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food on this side of the border this place is it ! Definitely will be making my way back here soon . “Amazing local pizza in the Mecca and North Shore area! Really like the fresh dough they make and the flavorful ingredients they use. My nieces and nephews really like it as well. I ordered a pepperoni and supreme pizza. Definitely recommend. I placed the order by calling beforehand.

“So far on our way to slab city… stopped at the last del taco before Mexicali. Off of 66th Mecca ca. Coolest dude ever! Very chill like told us it was shift change and we had no problem waiting. “I ordered on the drive thru a ice caramel latte and a caramel frappe the lady at the window when I told her I did not ordered a macchiato she got mad and started telling me that it was my fault for not seeing the order but she gave me the coffee of another customer you can see in the picture it says total 3 but I only got 2 coffees and I did not got my right coffee.”

Our server, Kenya, was wonderful—very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. She truly made our experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back! “We came almost closing, and they were still very nice to us. Their chips and salsa had a great kick and was on the spicier side, but we loved it. The fried fish was good and pretty large for $18. Their Birria is what they’re known for and was very good. It had a great flavor and came with a homemade flour tortillas and was packed with meat. Even the medium bowl was too much for me to finish. The michelada was very good too and going into this restaurant felt like going into someone’s home for some homemade birria.”
