“We finally tried this place for the first time, today. We can't believe what we have been missing. We loved everything! On top of the delicious food and great service, their online takeout order website is the best I've ever experienced.Vegetarian options: Very flexible for producing vegetarian style dishes.“
“You can taste the love and pride the owners put into their dishes! Flavors are on point. Always fresh. Had the appetizer platter and Pho. Everything was fantastic and delicious! Service was friendly and prompt. Ambiance is cozy, like eating at grandmas house. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.“
“We decided to have a dinner after our trip from Yosemite to SF. We found Sam Cafe in google map and wanted to try.It turned out great! We ordered Mongolian Beef and Tom Yum.It’s a best combination to have after a long drive. Anyone who is passing Merced, can give a try have a lunch / dinner here.“
“We got to-go yellow curries and chow mien. Absolutely delicious. The best food in Merced so far. Best curry I've had in a while. It was ready on-time, in 20 minutes, and was labeled which was a huge help since we had gotten two curries, one with tofu one with chicken. Thank you Coconut Cafe I will definitely be back!!!“
“Food was awesome. Never had this kind of food. Loved it staff was friendly and was really good on checking up on us to see if there was anything else we needed or wanted. Place was clean. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I'm always open to try new foods. Glad I tried the food at this restaurant.“
“I consider myself a regular customer ever since I discovered this restaurant. I fell in love with their food, especially the Chicken Pad Thai, vegetarian egg rolls, tom yum soup, orange chicken, and drunken noodles. In my opinion, this is the best Chicken Pad Thai in the 209 area. The staff is always welcoming and the food is consistently delicious. I truly appreciate this place and would highly recommend it.“
“Great, tasty food. We ordered the Pad Thai, red curry, and eggplant. All were delicious. Serving sizes are generous and prices are in line with everywhere else, if not a bit cheaper than other Than restaurants in Merced. Highly recommended.“
“Convenient location near 99 entrance ramps in a building that could be mistaken for a residence. Fast service, extremely generous portion (i got a $12.95 noodle soup that lasted 5 meals!). A busy restaurant, most patrons seem to be Thai and spoke their language with the staff. I take this as a sure sign of good authentic food. The "atmosphere" is basic, no frills, lo-heeled, 1980s wood paneling and linoleum wood grain tables (which seat 4)and floors. The cook came out of the kitchen to ask how I liked my soup. It was perfectly on the spicy side. If you want your food mild you should ask for it that way in advance. The menu is relatively simple with ingredient descriptions of the dishes. It was easy for me to choose exactly what I was in the mood to eat.“
“I absolutely love the Ped Sa Wan (#69) here! Perfectly roasted duck with a delicious lime sauce on a bed of spinach. I live an hour away from this restaurant up in the mountains and any time I am in Merced I head for Thai Cuisine II to pick up dinner. It reheats perfectly and is so delicious!!“
“We enjoyed our meal here very much. The server was VERY nice, friendly. Lots of vegetarian options, which was good for a meatless Friday. Everything was cooked freshly and served quickly. Pad Se Eew had lots of vegetables and tasted yummy. Green Papaya salad was a hit - the only problem was that it was more spicy that we would have liked. That is the problem with trying a new restaurant, you don't know how to answer the "how spicy do you want it" question. We asked for medium spicy, it was very hot. But we still ate it all. And we had a shrimp appetizer, very tasty but simple. Good prices considering how much food we received.Vegetarian options: You can leave meat out of many dishes“
