Homemade and extremely flavorful. They charge you for the chips and dip, but I can see why. The best chips and salsa I've probably ever had from any restaurant!! The portions are a little small for the price. Over $50 for two tacos, a quesadilla, horchata and chips/salsa. Although my taste buds were happy, my wallet was sad.“

“Love this place. I used to get steak tacos or carnitas (with pineapple), but now I'm trying not to eat meat. They have 2 tacos you can mix and match. I get grilled veggies, nopales or fish and add beans for some extra protein. I have started going here every time I'm in the office. Deducted a star from atmosphere for the shady neighborhood, but they can't control that.

Fast service, but please ladies from the front (customer service) smile, you take care of the customer like robots, next, thank you , next, thank you next. I was looking at every single person that was receiving their orders to make sure that chips are given to some odres or to every order. We order two burritos, one pupusa and twelve tacos. We did not received chips at all. I saw people that purchase tacos , receiving their chips, this wasn’t my case. No one gave us our chips😟“

“El Tepa is a good one, but due to my busy schedule I haven't made it by until just now. My bad! It has friendly people, less crowding than many taquerias, and good food at a nice price. I suggest that you eat there!

I have that terrible cilantro gene, and the proprietor took time to think through the menu and let me know what never had cilantro and where it was easy to take out, and was all around kind and personable. I ate this torta in the sunshine by the lake- a perfect lunch.“

“I got the plantain burrito (usually comes with cheese so make sure to request vegan) and the coconut horchata. My partner got the via via tacos and the watermelon agua fresca, and we shared the coconut ceviche. Plantain burrito - lovely! Great taste, and was large and filling - I only ate half and saved the rest for later. Horchata - not bad, but a little disappointing and not the kind of flavor I'd like. Also a bit of a grainy texture, though that doesn't bother me. Via via tacos - great! I tried a little, and the coconut ranch they use is a nice touch, great flavor. Watermelon agua fresca - I'm not huge on watermelon, but my partner loved it. I also thought it was nice when I tried some. Coconut ceviche - I was especially looking forward to this one because of all the reviews I'd seen mentioning it. It was nice, but for me it fell flat when compared to the burrito and tacos, and to other vegan ceviche I've had. It does seem popular though, so it might be worth a try if you think you might like it. We were there on a Sunday afternoon, and we were the only ones dining there, though we saw a few people pick up deliveries. The space was nice, and it seems like it would be peaceful even with more guests. We spent about $65 total including tax and 20% tip. Updated from previous review on 2025-04-14“

“I had one of the most fresh and tasty lunch in sfo in this place, the food was really good is the 2nd time that I come to SFO and I stop in this place, never disappointed, I had a trío ceviche, Baja taco fried fish and Cod fish bowl everything was so good. And price are really good.“

“Our company hired them for a couple of events this week, one was for 50 people and the other event went from 50 to 150 people and I only gave her 1 days notice and they were extremely accommodating and everyone loved the food. This time the sashimi trio I usually get was very skimpy on the fish portion size while they gave me tons of rice that was cold. My husband's salmon was quite good. The hostess tried to seat us at the worst table in the place when good options for 2 were available. I hate this particular restaurant game but persist & ask politely to be be re seared, which she did. All in all decent but not as good as they have been.“

The hostess apologized as there was a birthday party going on and we were seated in a closed off area that was much better, and a fan made it quite comfortable. Good service.“
