“The food I received was cold. The food was delicious. They did make a mistake with my friends order due to a mix up with gluten free but remedies it within about 5-7 minutes. Given we were there for a bit before getting the food I did not make a fuss about the meal being cold.“
“The excellent attention by the staff, from when we arrived and through out our meal was excellent. We were checked on multiple times during our meal. Although we had a party of six our meals arrived at the same time. Quality preparation and quality ingredients made for an outstanding meal.“

“Really happy we discovered the North Beach Cantina on a very competitive block. Their taco Tuesday is one of the better deals we've found. We each got 3 vegetarian tacos for $7. She loved hers, and the impossible chorizo I had was better than expected. This place has good music and vibes and the staff is awesome. “So fresh, the ingredients speak for themselves, complimented by tasteful accoutrement. Agua Fresca is no added sugar which was refreshing. The ceviche with salmon was unique, memorable with its mild use of orange for the acid, fantastic. The trout complimented the delicate dressing of the salad as expertly recommended by the cashier. Cool staff, fun space, drink while you wait!“

The Burritos are the best in the city, on a flavor scale and even standing up on its own, because come on, if a burrito falls over there’s too much in it. “Caribbean cuisine right at the Ferry Building. You order at the counter and pick up the food. I tried the Cuban sandwich and the beef plate with rice and beans. It's typical Caribbean with some spice and sweetness not spicy hot. Try the strawberry juice.“

“Friendly and accommodating service. Requested a few ingredients off my food (no sour cream and their hot red sauce in place of pico de gallo in a Carnitas crispy flat top burrito). They give you options for bean choice and I love refied beans in a burrito! Carnitas were crispy and flavorful. Burrito was crispy and all ingredients tasted really good and fresh! Their red sauce is really good. I am dead inside so it did not feel spicy to me, but if you are not a fan of spicy sauce you can customize your order. Most importantly and what made me love this burrito is that there is not an overwhelming rice stuffed burrito! I am from Southern California and we are not down with rice burritos, sorry SF locals, that is just not my thing. So if you want a burrito that is mostly protein (meat and beans) this place is a great choice. Service was quick food portions are great and in my opinion well worth the price especially in this area. Will definitely come back and try other dishes in this cozy corner of Lower Nob Hill! “I ordered the quesobirria tacos and they were so full of flavor, excellent quality and delicious! The 'consume' (birria soup) was a nice touch to dip the tacos in. They were crispy which added a nice crunch. I also tried the huitlacoche (vegetarian) quesadilla and was impressed by the tortilla which is corn and handmade. I recommend this Mexican food vendor. I will try the tamales next!“

I took it to go and ate it on the way to the sunset but this thing was massive and I honestly recommend enjoying it sitting down somewhere that's not inside the tiny hole in the wall storefront. The staff was really sweet and bilingual, clientele was a mix of Spanish and English which is always a good sign. If you're already in the neighborhood give it a go.“
