“We met friends at this restaurant after doing a Yelp review and I'm so glad we did. One of the first things I noticed was the high-quality of the menu: Mary's chicken, Scottish salmon, and other brands we love. The kitchen didn't disappoint. It was delicious and our guests were really pleased. The service was outstanding. and as we hoped, they had heaters and it was comfortable to eat outside in December. We will definitely be going back.“
“Chefs love it!!! I have the privilege of working with some amazing chefs. At work we do daily taste of many different food items, and needless to say the chefs are very passionate about what they prepare and how they prepare it. With major confidence, I have recommended Refuge to all of them without fear they would be disappointed. Most of them have accepted my suggestion and none of them had anything negative to say about the place. They all love the food and the beer selection, and they all keep coming back for more! Refuge is by far one of my favorite restaurants to go to. This is a place that everyone should try, you will not find a better pastrami sandwich anywhere in California.“
“I've lived in the area for three decades, (South Bay, East Bay & the Peninsula) but only recently discovered the historic 7 Mile House and can't wait to return. In fact, I'm headed there right after I post this ;.) I walked in on a weekday afternoon for a late lunch / early dinner to-go and sat at the bar with affable locals who all seemed to be enjoying themselves. I was warmly welcomed by the bartender; cocktail service was swift and with a friendly smile. Their mouth-watering menu offers much to choose from. After some deliberation, I selected their pulled pork adobo sandwich with a "side" salad which was an enormous serving of fresh field greens (entree size) along with the gigantic, succulent sandwich which DID NOT disappoint. The meat was tender and smokey, and their adobo is what I'm going back for today ! There was plenty to feed at least two people or one hungry woman with a half sandwich left over for lunch the following day. See you at the Seven ! I've gotta go ~ photos next time . . .“
“I decided to stop by this local sports bar. Fairly empty when I came in. Packed by the time I left. Good menu selections. Weekend breakfast options. They even offer mystery shots. I had the steak and eggs.The bartender/server Freddie was super nice and attentive. Prices are on point. Especially for the location. Food was ok. Nothing extremely special but the customer service was superb!“
“It's been almost 8 months since we returned to Rustic House. We started off with the clam chowder and we weren't disappointed. The seafood pasta and mahi mahi taco was SO delicious and fresh. Mauricio was our host and he did a superb job. With so many restaurant to choose from in San Carlos, we hope to come back soon.“
“My fiancé and I decided to have our wedding reception here at the Oceano. Its beautiful, the food was great and the staff was so exceptionally friendly. BUT - one person absolutely made everything possible. That person is Nancy. She deserves the Nobel Prize for wedding planning. I'm a nervous person who gets overwhelmed by planning big events. I don't know what I don't know. Luckily Nancy was there to guide us both through the entire process. I really can't say enough wonderful things about her and her coworkers. I'd wake up in the middle of the night thinking "OMG, did we get tablecloths?!" No problem. Nancy already had it under control. Got a question? Nancy has the answer and already knows the DJ/photographer/cake baker and more. Without her, I would have been a total mess. She made us both feel like we were in VERY capable hands and everything was going to be ok. AND the best part is that it was ok! The reception went down without a single snafu! After our first meeting, we both walked out feeling like a huge weight had been lifted off our chest. You will too.“
“Higher prices, but I think that's par for th3 course considering this restaurant is located in an airport.That being said, great level of service here. The entire team works together cohesively to provide refills and to assure that tables' needs and orders are taken care of efficiently. If you sit and watch them work, I think you'll understand what i mean. It's impressive. Further, they didn't seem to mind me hanging out for a bit after I paid while I waited for my next flight.The entire team was great on this visit, afternoon of March 10th. Nazzal (hope i got the spelling correct) and Eric were, in particular, super on top of it. Seemingly easy-going and a good work ethic.Would happily return.“
“This is a very nice place to sit down and have a meal and/or a drink. I am 24 years old, but I went to the 2nd biggest party college in Ohio (LOL), and I am here on a 10 day business trip in the Bay Area, and I have to say Mr. Chad N. at the bar here at Grill & Vine, is by miles and miles the best bartender or server I have ever had the pleasure of having. A very kind and considerate individual, and all staff really, especially for such a busy environment. I was very pleased with my experience here.“
