“Food and service was generally great. The seating is a little unfortunate - we were told there would be a longer wait to sit inside, and even after waiting, eventually directed to outside seats where a lot of bits were falling from the trees and it was slightly colder. The tables inside were mostly empty so not sure what happened.“
“A very nice restaurant in downtown Sunnyvale. Located in the pedestrian only street, with parking nearby. Very friendly and professional service, and a great ambiance. The selection for vegetarian main courses is limited, however, only eggplant dishes. Nevertheless, a very good choice to dine in Sunnyvale.“
“Ordered a large order for takeout and the owner was extremely accommodating and had phenomenal communication! The food was fantastic, wrapped well so it wouldn't spill in transport. The falafel was phenomenal, even some of my coworkers who don't like falafel in general said it was good! I would highly recommend going!Vegetarian options: Falafel is fantastic!“
“A taste of Middle Eastern Cuisine Food is excellent! Servings are good enough for the price. I suggest that you add the authentic garlic sauce for the shawarma. But I will say the shawarma is one of the best shawarma I have tasted here in the US. Service is good and fast. The waiters accommodated our needs and they served faster. Ambiance- The place is clean and I like that they have heaters outside to warm us while eating outside. We will surely return to this place as it did not disappoint us. I am happy I celebrated my birthday in this restaurant with my family.“
“Everything that a take-out falafel restaurant should be. Delicious warm balls of goodness wrapped in a super fresh pita with perfectly balanced hot sauce, tahini, crisp lettuce, cucumber and tomato. This is a no frills, wait in a short line, eat on picnic tables sort of place. It is a classic in the valley and shouldn’t be missed.“
“This is place is locked in as the Shawarma go-to spot. The fries and falafels are a must have!! Staff are always happy and energized. The restaurant is kind of small and loud, it's perfect for a quick bite or grab and go. Keep the quality and I'll keep coming back.“
“HOLY COW! Dish n Dash was a breath of fresh air. My favorite aspect of Dish n Dash is always their plethora of dips like the garlic dip, roasted red pepper walnut they are all so good and pair well with everything. I got their pulled sumac chicken which in my opinion is their best protein! I got it with frekeh, hummus, and red pepper walnut dip. The frekeh had the perfect texture that complemented the tender flavorful chicken! The chicken was insanely flavorful and it was a cool red color as well! The red pepper walnut dip was so good it was a little tangy and quite creamy as well with the hummus they were both so flavorful but each was a bit too oily. OVERALL I definitely reccomend and the prices are not too exorbitant with the portions being large. It was unique and super tasty so you should definitely give it a try!“
“Lipsmackingly yummy, down to earth and minimal fuss executed perfectly! This was a vegetarian heaven in a somewhat meat-heavy area for restaurant options at superbly reasonable fare. The entire dish and all aspects screamed unique and exciting flavors which worked together really well and was a plentiful portion which left me with zero complaints. The falafel was also grilled perfectly, crispy yet light and fluffy left me drooling for more, the salad and grilled veggies were seasoned with some awesome spiced, all topped with crunchy and peppery baked pita chips.I can't wait to return and cannot recommend the Veggie Shawarma with Grilled Veggies and Grilled Falafel enough!“
“Delicious and cheap Middle Eastern fast food Dish Dash, shawarma wraps, grilled lamb/beef/chicken skewers, salads, or my favorite Mansaf yogurt-braised tender lamb risotto, the big space is suitable for gatherings, and there are many good things Drink beer/wine/freshly squeezed juice“
“Seriously, and I don’t take this lightly, this is my favorite Shawarma place in the bay. The staff is so friendly sometimes when you go into a place, you just feel like somebody is there for the paycheck, however, these guys lived in breathe Shawarma.I’d go here for dinner, lunch, a quick snack, really any use case. This is a must stop by. Bring your friends bring your family.I recommend this restaurant“
“I go twice per week getting their wraps & plates for years. Food always so fresh & unbeatableServices also outstandingKid-friendliness: Kids get free meals if dinner in during weekendWheelchair accessibility: Place is wide, easy to move around. Most important thing is really clean, food quality is super good“
“We love this place, couple family occasions we celebrated there. Unfortunately one thing that did not change, no matter if you walk in or have a reservation - you still might wait for about 15min (if a party bigger then 3 people). Food is awesome, especially cherry rice and lamb.Kid-friendliness: They are fine if you come with kids, they have chairs for babies, unfortunately no kids menu or any kids distractions (like crayons and etc), they have kids cups for water or juiceWheelchair accessibility: No stairs, easy access, one level.“
“Amazing falafel and other food is pretty tasty too! Absolutely love the Tabbouleh as well.Vegetarian options: Falafel!Dietary restrictions: Probably some accommodationsParking: It's tucked away in the back, there's is currently constructionKid-friendliness: I would say probably not, no kids optionsWheelchair accessibility: Handicap right out front!“
“Sajj Mediterranean exceeded all expectations with their build-your-own plate option! The food quality is exceptional, and one bowl is definitely more than enough for a satisfying meal. The falafel was a standout, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. As for their drinks, the special mint lemonade and strawberry lemonade were incredibly fresh and flavorful, but the mint stole the show for me. Additionally, the Valentine's Day decorations added a lovely touch to the ambiance during our visit. Highly recommend Sajj Mediterranean for a delicious and refreshing dining experience!“
“Their tabbouleh is really quite amazing, and the falafel as well. Add to that excellent hummus and baba ganoush, and this is an excellent place for a vegetarian meal. Hey, the meat smells really good too, just haven't had it yet.Update: the meat dishes are great too, and i enjoyed the lentil rice dish as well... People that like their beef/lamb combo with plenty of lamb should be happy.“
“I was wowed at SAJJ! The food flavor, the AMOUNT of food they give you, and the variety of sides available are amazing and delicious! I get my daily veggie intake thanks to them. The price is reasonable for what you get. The staff are happy to add extra when asked. The place looks clean. The flavor of everything is AMAZING. You won’t regret it! (Don’t forget to ask for extra cilantro sauce!)“
“I go here basically every day, and usually get the rice bowl with brown rice, BBQ chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and kale. On occasion I’ll get the fries bowl, which is really good; crispy and fresh. It’s healthy, tasty, quick, and affordable food on campus. I would definitely recommend “
“Had the harvest salad, Greek salad, and hummus with garlic pita for takeout. The salads were decent, but the hummus was more like 3 stars: a little bit too salty (I've never salty issue about hummus before), and the garlic pita had no garlic aroma at all. But I'll give overall 4 stars due to the salads.“
“Food was good quantity and tasty. Rice was basmati but not flavorful, not bad though! Chicken and gyro were really good. Hummus was the best item on the plate. Salad was decent. The plate was missing both a sauce like mayo because the hummus goes out with the bread and there is no dip for the meat. Also ordered Falafel and the portion was good but the day I bought it was fired a lot, had burnt flavors. Will give it an another try!“
“I have only tried their chicken sandwich. It's my goto when I feel like a sandwich. They have a very generous portion for the meat. The bread is scooped out and tosted well, which makes it crunchy. It's a family owned business and they are very friendly and have great service. I recommend them. ?“
“Shawarma Mediterranean Street Food offers a delicious experience. The flavors are rich, the ingredients are fresh, and the service is top-notch. The variety on the menu caters to different tastes, ensuring everyone finds a favorite. Over all it is a five-star destination for authentic Mediterranean cuisine.“
“Had the roasted Lamb, as well as chicken and beef kabobs, and all of it was wonderful. The lamb was as tender as I have had anywhere in the bay area and Came in a great portion for the price of the dish. The chicken and beef were delicious and had just the right amount of seasoning remaining to flavor the rice.If you have not, definitely give this place a try if you're in the area.Dietary restrictions: Food served is Halal“
“Bay Area do need such authentic Indian food. What truly set this restaurant apart was its authenticity; the chefs have managed to capture the essence of traditional Maharashtrian cuisine without compromising on taste. The use of locally sourced ingredients added a layer of freshness that elevated the dish to new heights.Overall, my experience here was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm hospitality to the authentic flavors and perfect balance of spice and oil, this establishment has set a new standard for Maharashtrian cuisine. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply seeking a taste of authenticity, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to SURMAI.“
“The service hands down is the best here at this kebab shop location. Food is excellent taste fresh and prepared very well. This is a clean restaurant and meat is very tender and veggies are fresh and the sauces. Amazing. This is a must place for your wrap or kebab fries cravings.“
“OH MY GOD. This food is to die for. I have had tons of dishes and all are good, but my favorites are the eggplant (and I normally don’t like eggplant!), meatballs, and falafel. I also love the Brussels sprouts, and the artichoke flatbread. I recommend getting a few small items and splitting. So good. And the BAKLAVA! It is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Like no baklava I’ve ever tasted. It’s magical.“
“The kabobs were well seasoned, juicy, and tender. The rice was alright but the roasted tomato on the side was amazing. Not popular to much with most of the orders being online leaving the inside empty, so you can eat alone but the owners were constantly checking on me which is alright. 10/10 would recommend if in the “
“The food is incredible. Whether it's the plates or the wraps, the sharwmas or the eggplant falafel, everything on the menu is really good. The sauces are killer too.Yes, the place is a bit run-down, but that's actually a tell-tale signal of a quality falafel place. I've gotten food from this place about 20-30 times in the past 5 years, I've never gotten sick. The store owner is nice and respectful.“
“Went with a group of friends, reserving the traditional floor seating, ornate setting, ordered Combination Kabob, Potato Bolani, Lamb Sabzi, Doogh, etc. good service, food wait time is about 15 minutes, a different experience in dining, be prepared to pay gratuity on the bill or tip is included already, parking can be tight spaced during peak time.“
“Literally I am in love with this place! They have everything I need. I was so hungry and I found this great Halal Option . I was so so impressed by the way the person was cooking there . He was completely taking care of the hygiene. Was using the gloves all the time . The tray he served me food was also so good. I can proudly say this place is close to my heart. I will definitely visit this place again and again.“
“You order at the counter and can stay or take it to go. I love the round platter with Chicken. Lamb is available too. My bowl comes with lettuce, rice, and choice of toppings. Their white sauce tops it off deliciously. There is humus, baklava, and baklava cheesecake available.“
“Delicious food catering to the Muslim community - Halal optionDietary restrictions: Halal meet optionParking: If you cannot find parking off the street there is PLENTY of parking in the back around the kabob shop near SafewayKid-friendliness: Kids meals“
“Chicken Shawarma wrap and chicken sharwarma over rice were amazing. Lavash Wrap was filling and yummy. Each side of falafel had 4 falafels which were perfectly crisp even after taking out. Overall great, will come back again for ambience and serviceVegetarian options: Many veg options including falafel, hummus, babaganoush“
