“I actually ordered their chicken and waffle for breakfast and not thinking this can be that great (because I didn't choose this place but my mom did 😬). However, to my surprise, the Belgium waffle was huge and has a very good texture with a special dough. And Man, that chicken thigh is something else! I love that chicken was marinated first, then fired (or baked) so it's juicy and not dry at all! Not to even mention the Hispanic servers there can speak Chinese so that's why they can draw my mom back (and now me)! 🤣 👏 Bravo Nano Cafe 👏“

“Delicious breakfast which is enough for two people so it's reasonably priced. The bacon was the best part. Potatoes are deep fried and I like mine less greasy. A lot of customers came in so it's a popular spot. I loved that they were able to make me iced coffee with oatmilk. The staff is friendly and the food comes out fast. They will seat you or you can seat yourself. You order at the counter and they give you a number and they bring your food to you. If you come to the front, you walk up stairs but staff said there is a large parking lot in the back and a ramp for accessibility. I will definitely come here again!

Today I got the toasted salmon cream cheese bagel and it is absolutely deliciuos!!! This place is very popular, non stop people coming in but you can get in and out quickly. They are fast and you can get take-out if you are on the go.“

“Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the charming, highly-rated Hello You're Welcome café. They make and bake everything in house- you can even see the ovens. Really friendly staff with a slight hippie vibe. Some items were made with almond flour, like their giant chocolate chip cookie, so I had to skip them (allergic). I was pleasantly overwhelmed by a delicious gigantic frittata slice with bacon, onions, and tater tots inside. Togadachi coffee is really interesting: the beans were fermented with lavender. Extra sugar helped me adjust to the unique flavor. The wall full of retail items features coffee beans in VHS boxes, which is a first! I love their mugs and bought one to take home.“

“The Huntington Tea Room is always a special experience. I love to bring first time visitors to The Huntington to the Tea Room. This time my guest was Vegan. The Vegan menu is perfect, elegant and delicious. We both had it. It was a huge hit. The service is always impeccable. It's always a lovely experience and a perfect ending to a day exploring the gardens and exhibits.“

“Republik Coffee is as solid as it gets. It has good food, good coffee, and a good ambiance, which makes it a great hang out spot.The breakfast burrito, an almond danish, and a hazelnut cappuccino. It's not a large breakfast burrito, but I felt like all off the ingredients were good quality. The danish was good,and the cappuccino was solid as well.“

“The Burlington Arcade is so gorgeous and mandarin coffee stand fits right in! While the storefront only allows 4 customers at a time, waiting outside doesn’t feel bothersome because you’re in such a beautiful space.

While they do have citrusy flavors on their menu, much of their focus is on serving Chinese coffee among classics. I got the gui hua latte (which only comes hot) and it really grew on me, with the complex flavor combination of coffee, slight spice, and florality. Their Vienna latte was smooth and rich while their honey yuzu fizz was bright and refreshing. There are a couple of tables in the walkway, but I wouldn’t count on doing work here or staying for a long period of time. Parking is pretty easy in the lot, though!“

We came all the way from Maryland for my birthday weekend, and this has been the best food we’ve had so far on our trip. Everything was amazing—from the coffee to the buttered bread served at the table. You can really see and taste the homemade care put into every dish.

I had the home fries, and you could tell they were hand-cut from thinly sliced potatoes. My friend ordered the veggie omelet—my God, it was so good. “I attended a private event at Arcane Cafe on Saturday. The maids were super sweet, though definitely busy seeing to everyone. The event went over the allotted time and, though it was very late, they were very understanding and didn't try to rush us out of the cafe. At this event, you paid for a afternoon tea service. I have attended MANY afternoon tea events--at restaurants, afternoon tea cafes, and hotels--and Arcane Cafe's afternoon tea had some of the BEST food I've ever had for tea, but they gave you so much! Everything was absolutely delicious and presented so nicely. It was such a fun event, the maids were gracious hosts, and I would definitely go back again by myself (even though it's a bit of a hike from my home).“

The barista was very knowledgeable on any of my questions and we traded recommendations on some local Portland roasters. I got a spro and cortado, while my wife got a Sierra tonic which actually made me like espresso tonics. Hands down this is the best oat cortado I’ve ever had. The milk was steamed with perfect microfoam, and it really accented the bean’s natural sweetness. I didn’t catch his name, but we were there at noon on a Saturday after thanksgiving. Anyway, stay frosty Sierra Madre, Peace.“

“I love coming here and it's very close to my house, reminds me of my grandma baking growing up. They make great tamales as well with lots of meat, very delicious. Their sweet bread are great a big variety to choose from. They open at 5am you won't be sorry if you stopped by and bought some thing to have with your coffee in the morning.“
