The restaurant is closed and fenced off. 4 stars because it is still a great spot to stop if you have your own food. The brown roadside sign at the top mentions public access but no mention of the restaurant. If you drive down the lane through the Eucalyptus, you find views, parking, picnic tables, shade and port-a-potties with handwashing and soap. Heading south this is just a couple miles before you reach a 1 lane traffic light where there was about a 10-15 minute wait heading...read full review
This was such a gem of a restaurant. Amazing food and views. It has been closed since Covid. I think it was sold but nothing has been done to reopen.
I don't recommend getting in the water.
