“I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants. I love Mexican food. I’ve even inspected restaurants for 30 years. My cousin ordered the Carnitas for a birthday party. It was the best I’ve ever had. Hands-down.“

“A small speckle of the Oaxacan cuisine as is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, highlighting its deep cultural roots and significance. This recognition underscores the importance of preserving traditional Mexican cuisine, particularly as practiced in Oaxaca, with its unique ingredients, cooking techniques, and social customs!!!“

“I've been meaning to try the other places in the shopping center but it's hard to pass up Gaby's. Coworkers and I drive over there from Simi on our lunch break but it's easy with being able to call in our orders and have it ready when we arrive.“

“My Mom and I were in Moorpark for the afternoon (from Oxnard) and happened, by chance, to land here—glad we did!
All the various meats you could want are on offer, with shrimp and fish dishes available, too. We considered the prices reasonable.
Mom ordered a taco salad; I had a big plate of nachos with the meat on top split: half carnitas and half Chile Verde [no other eatery has made a point of offering me this half & half option, btw].
A well stocked, complimentary, self-serve display of salsas, chips, and marinated vegetables was much appreciated.
Our dishes were promptly brought out to our table. Mom's taco salad was not large to look at, but was packed full—she kept commenting about how delicious and fresh everything was (I agree) and enjoyed her beef. My nachos were loaded: carnitas were crispy, not greasy, and with more flavor than I have experienced at other places; the Chile Verde was succulent and scrumptious with a tangy sauce.
For unpretentious Mexican fare, Taqueria El Tapatio was really a delightful surprise for us. We're not Moorpark locals, but will be back when we can.“

“We had them cater my daughters birthday party with a taco bar. It came with 3 kinds of meats, tortillas along with all of the fixings and then some. All of my guests kept getting 3 and 4 plates of food. We have been in Moorpark for years and had not heard of them, until we were referred to them by the owners of Jaro’s (another local Moorpark eatery). I highly recommend you try and support this great local spot.“

“Cute bakery and restaurant combo. The menu has a nice selection to choose from yet simple. It’s walk up style which is always a bummer for me since the dinning are is large and has so much potential. I dinned in and took some food home as well. For the stay I enjoyed the shrimp cheviche tostadas. It was good but I wish it had more juice to it. The shrimps were kinda dry.
For the to go I got the fajitas mixed and beef sopes. The fajitas could have had more flavor / seasoning to it. Kinda tasted plain. But the portion was large. The sopes were loaded up with meat 🥩 and toppings as well. The sope itself was kinda soggy but it’s to be expected as a to go order but it could have been fired for a bit longer for a more crunchy texture. Over all I’d comeback and try a few more things. The girl up front was friendly and nice with a pleasant voice as well as attitude.“

“I have never had a bad experience here. Both bartenders have been bartending since the 1980s, and make great drinks that never lack flavor or alcohol. Also, the pricing is right for the area. We have been to other bars in the area off of Los Angeles Ave and they were overpriced and drinks were water-downed trash. Jalisco is a chill local spot and people are personable there. A+“

“I order here often. Love the food.
Four stars because the Only negative is that since the price increase the portions have gotten A LOT SMALLER. THEY ARE HALF THE SIZE THEY USED TO BE.
Some people say the to go orders tend to be smaller as opposed to you standing there and watching them make it.“

“We ordered several taccos and burritos there. The food tasted very good and was prepared quickly.
Ordering was done via a large touchscreen, which was very easy and didn't cause any problems.
Parking: Lots of parking spaces right in front of the shop.
Kid-friendliness: Suitable for everyone.
Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs so easy to access.“
