“The food & beer was excellent with a very relaxed atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and company. Shout out to Uncle Kyle! He kindly picked up our tab, he didn't know it but we're here celebrating my mom's life in her favorite town at her favorite beach. Truly made our night. Would highly reccomend to anyone who has a craving for some pretzels, beer on tap, or a delicious hot dog.”

“Nice place but... We visited this beautiful restaurant on July 30th For drinks and appetizers. We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely, the food was delicious and the wine very enjoyable. We recognized that we were seated at the table for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours so we continued to order appetizers and dessert while we were enjoying our wine and we also planned on leaving a generous tip. Toward the end of our stay as we were ordering our final glass of wine and dessert and were told by the waitress that she could not serve us anymore alcohol and and it has something to do with the ABC but she could not explain exactly what the issue was. Being in my 60's and never being denied service in my entire life, I was quite taken aback. We were served the dessert but no more alcohol. We paid our bill and walked down the street to another establishment where we continued to have our final glass of wine and watch the sunset and then walk back to the hotel. I'm still baffled by what occurred.”

“I've eaten here several times here and each time the food blows my mind. It's hard to go wrong with dishes like poke, beef bulgogi, and ramen, but each one has some unique twist to it that dials the flavors to the max while staying true to the spirit of the dish. Each of them uses some sort of lightly pickled vegetable to balance and enhance the umami in the dish. Even the rice is delicious- it doesn't just passively soak up flavors in the background, it's lightly flavored itself and has the perfect chewy texture.
For a truly unique experience I recommend the Bay Burrata salad. I've never tasted anything that combined creamy, earthy, and fresh flavors together in exactly that way but it works incredibly well. The truffle Burrata with beets, fennel, and pickled sweet corn makes the perfect fresh dish for a sunny day.”

“Love how everything at Shine Cafe is so healthy. Even the taco items on the menu are basically a big salad. This place is worth going out of your way for. The weirdest thing which is a big turn off is the tipping. Orders over $80 automatically have a 20% tip added. For an order-at-the counter place. Makes no sense and it is counter productive as it incentivizes customers to spend less in order to stay under this $80 limit Updated from previous review on 2026-03-11”

“the food was really good! i ordered the matcha latte and the caprese avocado toast, as well as the mocha frappe for a family member. the matcha latte had some matcha powder that threw me off a bit in its texture but i didn’t mind it after a while. i really liked the avocado toast! the mocha frappe was also good from what i tried :)”

“First time coming here and boy was it fire! I had the western tri tip with a side of onion rings! Usually I always say firestone has some of the best most consistent trip tip and this sandwich right here give them a run for there money! The western checked all the boxes! The owner and staff are super nice aswell! Definitely will be back regularly!”

“We love coming to the LA Parisienne every time we we are in town for our vacations. The sandwiches are fantastic. the croissants and baguettes are delicious. the pastries are amazing. It's always a pleasure talking with them. We are looking forward to seeing them again in about another week. This place doesn't disappoint, you will be happy you stopped in. It's totally worth it. Also, prices are so very reasonable. Bon appetit”

“My large family and I visited this adorable coffee shop this morning. The owner was sweet as can be, the drinks and food were delicious, and the service was excellent. Will definitely visit every time we are in town! We were so enamored of the shop we made sure to buy a sweatshirt from their merch area too!”

“Stopped in here a few days ago based on a recommendation from a friend. We tried ice cream on the first night & a chocolate muffin & strawberry pop over the second. All of it was great! Great service, great atmosphere. Plenty of parking. I hear the homemade healthy dog treats are very popular, although we did not try any. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.”

“Our first time there today as our usual place in Cayucos was overrun by some dog event. Thank goodness. It's a simple place but the service and food were excellent. I'm not a fries guy. I'm definitely a curry fries guy now though. We had the garlic broccoli stir fry, which was very good. When you put the leftover curry fries sauce on it, even better. I thought $10 for fries was high, until we tried them. Give this place a try - you'll probably be glad you did.”

“I had lunch at this restaurant while doing a road trip through the PCH. I was really satisfied with the flavor of the food. Perhaps, one of the best Thai food I have ever had. Would love to go back if I ever do that road trip again.”

“We’ve been going to Hofbrau for over 20 years. Just had one of the best meals ever there today. Sat outside on the new glass enclosed deck over the water. Amazing view. Beautiful day. Had the best, tender and flavorful roast beef sandwich- a jailhouse (roast beef, pastrami & provolone - a Reuben and calamari strips. It was all perfect!”

“This place is amazing!! Excellent fine dining! Every bite perfection! Beautiful views of the bay and morro rock. Excellent chocolate old fashioned, bread with oil and vinegar, out of this world local oysters and crab cakes, unbelievably good crispy sand dabs, and incredible pistachio ice cream and salted butterscotch creme brulee. The best meal ive had in years”

“While visiting MB from Fresno, we ran across this hidden gem. We had the Breakfast Burrito with Bacon, Egg, Cheese and Hash-browns. They also offer ham and chorizo. These are 100% the BEST breakfast burritos I have EVER had! Even my own made at home. They are huge and 1 would probably feed 2 people because they come with free chips and a salsa bar. This will always a “must go to” place anytime we are in SLO area.”

Barista needs to be 10x more caffeinated, it's 7:30 no line at the register and more than 12min before they even started preparing. I like to spend time in a coffee shop, but WITH my coffee in front of of me, not waiting for it.
They also have online orders which does not help. If I'm done eating my pastry before you even started making my drink you have failed

“It’s really great place!, a perfect balance of atmosphere. I had the pork sliders and they were really freakin good, with a Modelo!, it was perfect. Also had a SLO-Brew Blood Orange Hefeweizen soooo tasty, highly recommend. The service was fantastic!, our waitress was phenomenal!.”

“It's a cute and convenient drive thru coffee kiosk. It was hard to hear her on the drive thru speakers. And two specialty large coffes were $15. So that's $7.50 for a specialty hot mocha and a large specialty iced coffee. They put a chocolate covered coffee bean on top of the lid, so fun presentation. If you are looking for a high-end drive thru coffee kiosk, this is a good one.”
