About 786 Kabob House Newark

786 Kabob House Newark is a welcoming restaurant with a clean and comfortable atmosphere, featuring traditional Afghan cultural elements in its decor. The restaurant offers authentic Afghan dishes such as Qabili Palao and kabuli pulao, which are praised for their delicious flavor, freshness, and generous portions. Customers often mention the meat as flavorful and tender, with rice that is fluffy and well-seasoned, though some suggest using less oil in the Palao next time. The service is consistently attentive, warm, and friendly, with staff going above and beyond—sometimes cooking kebabs late at night or creating a relaxed, cultural environment with Arabic sofas. The restaurant is halal, making it suitable for practicing Muslims. Many reviews highlight the authenticity of the food, reminiscent of Afghan flavors experienced in Afghanistan years ago. Prices are considered very reasonable given the quality and portions served. The restaurant’s hospitality and thoughtful touches, such as employees praying during service and creating a welcoming space, contribute to an overall positive experience. Recently under new ownership and planning to rebrand as Ariana Restaurant and Cafe, 786 Kabob House remains a highly recommended spot for delicious Afghan cuisine and excellent customer service.

The restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was comfortable. I would definitely come back and recommend Afghan Burger to anyone looking for delicious Afghan style burgers and great hospitality. also kabuli pahloo cook perfectly and delicious
Ate here twice with family and friends during a trip to the area. Meat very flavorful, portions large, and service very attentive. Even cooked kebabs for me and my wife late at night, just after the restaurant had technically closed for the evening. Halal for practicing Muslims. Warm, friendly staff.
