New Hwong Kok Reviews
Great BBQ ducks. The staff is friendly, but busy. The deli is always a line, so don't expect restaurant level service, it's all fast food plastic forks and spoons. But it is tasty and very generous portion and filling.
Aside from the duck, Lo Mai Gai (Dim Sum Sticky Rice Chicken) had been my favorite .

I think this is the best Chinese BBQ in the area. It's not really a sit-down kind of place. It's really best for takeout. The duck is definitely the best you can get in Fremont/Newark. Always prefect flavor. Crispy skin and juicy meat. The dipping sauce that comes with it is great. You can also order a whole roast pig here. We did that for a backyard high school graduation party (along with a couple ducks). It was delicious! One thing I miss is I wish they made crispy pork intestines....read full review
They have roasted duck, pork, and Chinese buns, etc..

New Hwong Kok is a small restaurant located inside Lion Center in Newark, offering delicious food for takeout or dining in. The menu features a whole duck for $29, along with other dishes like egg tarts, white chicken, wonton noodle soup, and steamed pork bun. The service is fast and friendly, with two lines for ordering: one for meat and another for dim sum. There are days when a line reaches out the door, indicating the restaurant's popularity for takeout. Customers have praised the duck roasted plate, which comes with rice and steamed cabbage, highlighting the rich duck flavor. Although the restaurant provides a dining option, it is often recommended as a quick grab-and-go place. For those who prefer dim sum, it is suggested to skip the long line for roasted duck and BBQ pork and head inside the store instead. It is important to arrive early, as some popular dishes may sell out later in the day.
