“Good place to eat delicious!!!Wide variety of creamy sauces and curries, a good option for vegetarians and vegans. Excellent service, very friendlyVegetarian options: SAG panner is spinach with delicious cheeseAloo gobi excellent vegan option“
“This is one of the best indian restaurants in all of Los Angeles. I am a huge foodie and have eaten at almost EVERY indian restaurant in LA. I am also Indian and eat indian food almost daily. So when i say this place is incredible, i have a LOT to compare it to. This food is so authentically delicious while not being over loaded with cream, butter and ghee. It isn’t heavy like all the other indian restaurants can be. You leave feeling satiated but not disgustingly full or gross. It’s the perfect balance of tasty without gluttonous. Every dish was phenomenal - vegetarian and the meat! All exceptional! 10/10 and will be back MANY more times!!!! My only regret was I found out about this place just now!!!“
“Nice food. Friendly staff. I am a repeat La Mirch Studio City customer. I asked for Chicken Tikka Masala with sauce on the side. I was charged $16 for the chicken tikka and $9 for sauce. I was not so happy about that. If you make chicken tikka masala, don't you make it fresh then add sauce? Why then is a $17 entree becoming a $25 entree? It does not seem good to me. I enjoy the food but this was not a happy experience to pay $9 to simply ask for sauce on the side. Please explain. Thank you!“
“The variety of Indian food was mainly focused on certain region and elevated it so well. I enjoyed every bit of the food. The desserts were different with a twist. Will be coming back here. They do not serve hard liquor but do have wine and beer. Parking is on the road.“
“We were looking for an authentic desi food, and loved it. The place or ambience is a fast food place one, more for a carry out orders. . We ordered Goat Paya curry, Goat biryani, Chicken biryani, naan, mango lassi( really tasty), and Mixed grill. The proportion size is great. Courtesy of the owner, Karim bhai was superb, served us complimentary Ras malai. Their chai is good too. They have fresh samosas too.Tomas at the front cashier counter is also a kind lady. Overall, great experience.Pricing is reasonable too.“
“Quick, easy, and so delicious. I've eaten food from here numerous times and have never been disappointed. Everyone who works there are very nice. Very generous portions of food for the price. Their garlic naan is HUGE. I highly recommend getting the chicken tikka masala, mango chicken, jeera aloo, and garlic naan. Get it all at once, get it separately, but these are staples that you must try from here.Vegetarian options: Jeera Aloo, Channa Masala, veggie pakora, veggie samosa, aloo ghobi, eggplant, veggie korma.“
“Nice place to get together with friends and or family and enjoy delicious Indian food. The service is good and the ambiance is cool. We went there on a Sunday for brunch and we had a really good time, there's a DJ on the premises to dance a little if you so desire... Enjoy it my dear “
“Overall the food was AMAZING! ? This was my first time ever trying Indian cuisine and my god it was so tasty! They don’t skimp on the portions at all! I paid around $37 and they gave me enough food to feed a family of 3! lol ? Honesty I recommend this place. If I knew this hidden jem existed before I would’ve reviewed this place earlier lol“
“First 5 star rating I believe I have given. This was truly a great experience. You may have to wait a little and parking is tough but it's all worth it. Also everything is spice forward. As long as you understand that this is the right place to be.“
“Love this place! So delicious! Very nice people. I've only gotten take out. I hope to eat in soon because the restaurant is lovely. But, my last order the portions seemed to have shrunk and it's expensive. I hope the small potions were just a one off. I'm not a big person and don't eat much and it was not enough for me. So I worry about others not getting enough food for their $.“
“This place was so good! I live really close to this place and I always walk past it. A couple of days ago I decided to go in and check it out, I was very surprised at how good it was, they give nice portions too ! I had the chicken tikka masala and curry chicken! Very flavorful! Also the lentils, I recommend this place ! The owner was nice too“
“Certainly! Sham India's Oven is renowned not only for its delectable saag paneer, samosas, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan and desserts but also for the warmth and kindness of its owner! Their culinary offerings are consistently delicious, showcasing the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. The owner's friendly demeanor and understanding nature add to the overall dining experience, making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike. Whether you're craving traditional Indian dishes or seeking a welcoming atmosphere, Sham India's Oven is sure to satisfy both your appetite and your soul. ????️“
“The food at Curry Zone reminded me of my good olden days in India when the food at my hostel was messed up and I used to get some delicious meals from local curry points. I have experienced so many places messing simplest curries like chicken and goat curries but their chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, goat curry, aloo gobi, veg korma and dal makhni AND MANGO LASSI were an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT for me, my husband and our best friends. My white friend is absolutely in love with their food. I wish this is closer to our place in DC.“
“I recently dined at this Indian restaurant and was blown away by the culinary journey it took me on. The Chicken Makhni, Alu Gobhi, and the Garlic Naan along with the Cheese Naan were absolute delights . Each dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced in spices. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. You won't be disappointed!“
“We were just at this wonderful neighborhood restaurant last night. The food and service were excellent and the atmosphere was welcoming. We were a party of 4 who all ordered different items and were all very pleased with our meals. We started with the vegetarian samosas, which were quite tasty. The lamb tikka masala was particularly memorable. I don’t eat lamb often but my BF really wanted to try this dish and I’m very glad we ordered it. The meat was so tender and the sauce was outstanding, with a mix of richness and sweetness that struck the perfect note, without being overwhelming. The chicken dish we also shared (the name of which I can’t recall at the moment) was delicious as well. Our friends very much enjoyed their veg dishes too. As for the service, the waiter was very friendly and attentive, highly professional. On another note, when we arrived home, my BF realized he’d left his phone on the table and immediately called. They confirmed they had the phone and held it for him until he returned for it. Their honesty and helpfulness deserve high compliments, along with everything else. I highly recommend this restaurant. We look forward to returning soon.“
“Totally amazed by the great selection and quality of the food at lunch buffet. It was really good. They had chicken biryani, goat curry, chicken tikka massala, tandoori, chicken and so many other dishes. They also Chai tea and a good selection of sweet desserts. A gem of a spot and I'm glad I chanced upon it. This will be my go to for Indian buffet, authentic. Service was top notch too!!“
“We started with a veggie samosa. It was so delicious. The pastry was so soft I was impressed! For the main coirse we got the Chicken Tandoori and the Saag Paneer - both were delicious. The place is small and cozy. Ambiance is perfect for a little date night, but I could see them accommodating a bigger party too! Our server Robin was excellent. So kind and everything came out super quickly. Def recommend!!“
“This place has really good and really authentic Indian dishes. The service was great. The restraunt atmosphere was fine but not anything to write home about. This place was in walking distance from our airbnb we rented. We walked over on a Tuesday night around 6 and it wasn't too crowded. The items are sharable and you have to order everything separately so make sure you order some naan or rice for the soupier dishes.“
“First time trying from this local restaurant and ordering for a party. It did not disappoint from the flavor to the service they provided. Ordering was easy over the phone and the staff was so friendly they helped bring the food to the car. I would definitely order again for all my party needs. All my guests loved the food so much from Mexicans to Filipinos ????“
“A neighbor gem! Went with a girlfriend and we were both hungry so ordered one of the Karma dinners for 2. Everything was delicious and there was enough leftovers for a second dinner the next night. Service was friendly and attentive and I appreciated that the restaurant is super clean. It wasn't very busy so I'm hoping others will read this and give it a try. We need to keep these small neighborhood places thriving!“
“Wow. I liked Indimex before they changed management, now I love it! I wrote a review 7 years ago with a follow up 6 years ago pre covid. Remember when? During Covid and even more recently, I would order and have it delivered. But tonight I saw they were open and there was parking space right in front so I went in person. Wonderfully warm new owner, quaint dining room albeit small but remodeled and the new owner has plans for more. - feels more authentically Indian with a Mexican twist. Indian movie posters and music, colorful walls and tables. Their Chicken Tikka Masala sauce is the real deal as is the raita. Delicious. The chicken tikka masala quesadillas are reasonable and filling. I'm so glad they survived Covid and with this new management I'm excited to see what comes next. Have an adventure as I said in my original posting 7 years ago. Tired of the same old same old? Support local businesses. And enjoy!“
“OMG the tikka masala spaghetti and the indo-chinese veggie chowmein are INCREDIBLE. Can't find dishes like this anywhere else in LA. And the Indian tacos are INSANE. Very distinct menu. Delicious food. And super friendly staff. Definitely making this a regular stop on the rotation.“
“So far the best butter chicken I've had is from this restaurant. That's really the major reason why I visit this restaurant because the butter chicken is so delicious. Also like their mango lassi and garlic naan as well. For anyone new to this restaurant those are the items I recommend getting from here. The food can be a bit pricy “
“Had one of their combo meals via delivery. Goat curry, saag paneer and a mixed veg dish with rice, naan and raita. Everything was delicious, certainly some of the best Indian food I've had close to mid city. Very much appreciate that they serve goat and have dishes on the menu that are outside the standard Indian menu you see at most places in the area. Looking forward to going in person and trying their balti dishes as well as the paya. "Very very spicy" here seems to mean mildly spicy, so if you're a chili head like me best to let them know you mean business. The cilantro mint chutney was probably the best I've ever had-so fresh. All around great food.“
“Such a lovely dining experience! Friendly, kind and attentive servers. The food was delicious. Well presented, fresh flavours. We even enjoyed watching people come and go from the 7-11 with a stunning view of the observatory in the near distance- classic LA. Will definitely be coming here again!“
“Best Indian food I've ever had. Everytime I've ordered elsewhere since ordering from here I've been disappointed. My GO TO Indian spot & it will never be rivaled! I always get the veggie coconut curry, basmati rice, veggie samosas, raita, mint sauce & mango chutney, and the cheese naan. And a mango lassi & gulab for dessert of course. Consistent and delicious. Love yall!“
“Visiting from Vancouver and came across this sweet little restaurant. Food was absolutely amazing - fresh, flavourful, and delicious! My wife and I are quite picky about Indian food but this place hit the mark! We had to go back one more time before we left L.A. They were closing that day but the owner was super kind and let us in. Will definitely come back to this place the next time we visit L.A.“
“India's Tandoori Hollywood is the most popular spot for Halal Indian cuisine in Hollywood. They offer a wide variety of dishes, including tandoori chicken, curries, biryanis, and more. They also have a lunch buffet and for Ramadan they have an Iftaar buffet, Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think so there is a place in all of the Hollywood which is offering Iftaar buffetOverall, India's Tandoori seems like a great option for a delicious Halal authentic Indian dining experience in Hollywood.“
“I wish I could give them 4.5 stars but it's not an option. And let's be real- there is zero ambiance here. I wouldn't want to dine in. But the owner is super friendly and the food is delicious. And that's what it's all about right? My family ordered a few mains, plus apps and sides and every single thing was tasty. At first I thought the portions were a little small for the money, but those containers held a lot more than they looked! Even without ordering a ton we had a couple of small lunches the next day. I suggest ordering from the Yelp menu which is much more extensive than the website menu. We will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys the flavors of India!“
“We've been going to Urban Masala for over 10 years! Every time we take our guests inside, we're treated like family. The food is absolutely delicious and you can't beat the freshly baked garlic naan bread. Best we've ever had!“
“Ordered a chai, garlic naan, matar paneer, okra dish, and vegetable biryani. Everything was magnificent and we will definitely be going back. Their chai tasted like home! This restaraunt is Bangladeshi-owned and their daughter Hafsa is such a sweet host and her parents are wonderful and talented cooks!Parking: 6 spotsKid-friendliness: Small space but very kid friendly!“
“Hidden little gem in a plaza that looks uninviting on the outside but very cozy on the inside and serves authentic, large portion dishes. I ordered for pick up on Uber eats as they had a BOGO promotion on a variety of different combos. So, my boyfriend and I chose the chicken tikka masala that came with plain naan for only $18 for 2. The taste matched the amazing price point. The sauce was super rich and creamy with a hint of sweetness + tanginess and medium heat then topped with the well balanced spices that come along with Indian dishes. However, it was the service that caught my attention and triggered my desire to promote the business even more. I want to say it was the owner that had such a welcoming & kind character to him. When I ordered from here before, the combos used to come with drinks so I assumed the same with ordering this time around. We asked if they had forgotten our sodas and he softly explained "oh, I'm sorry. That was the old promotion we used to do but I don't mind giving you guys sodas. Thanks for being returning customers" with a sweet smile.Don't forget to support small businesses - this one is definitely a big worth it in my books!“
“I can’t say about the service as it ws take out order but ya lots of attitude, thought a local person so asked d address after ordering for take out but din help at all….Nt at all welcoming ppl, 4 stars just for food not for the persons overs there…..Don’t expect good service or welcoming people there, just pick or eat the food tats it….Rice ws soft as required, paneer curry ws tasty, extra pickle ws given, moong dal ws also so tasty“
“Went to grab dinner here before a Laker game and absolutely loved it. We ordered the Mekhani chicken, basmati rice, garlic naan, and vegetable samosas and it was all delicious. We also had a mango lassi and masala tea, which were fantastic. The service was great, super kind man who chatted with us a bit. He kindly gave us some free dessert at the end, which was also delicious (I forgot what it was called but it was shredded carrot in a sweet milk with nuts. So good!). It is cash/Venmo only, so be prepared with either.“
“If you’re looking for good quality North Indian cuisine, this is your place. I’ve been coming to this place for quite some time now and it is by far one of my favorite Indian restaurants to frequent. Their Chicken Tikka Masala is a staple, and their Naan breads are exceptional. They have a range of traditional dishes on their menu at very reasonable prices. My vegetarian friends also love the options. This is a family owned restaurant and the staff couldn’t be more attentive. More often than not you will see the owner making his rounds and you can see how much pride he takes in his establishment. It’s definitely a must if you’re in the Burbank area, and it’s five stars hands down.“
“This Indian vegetarian restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with authentic flavours. The menu is diverse, lot of chat options and one of the best samosa chat i have had in a long time. Highly recommended for anyone craving for delicious vegetarian Indian cuisine.“
“India’s Grill is a very nice and warm restaurant with very delicious Indian food. We discovered it by accident, but now it’s one of my favorite in LA. It’s a family owned restaurant, the food we ordered was so good and comforting! The atmosphere was of an authentic restaurant in India and the people who run it were so friendly.“
“Wow! What a great find! Everything tasted so fresh! We got Butter Chicken, Lamb Shank and Alugobi as well as the mixed appetizer! My fav was the butter chicken! The service was excellent. Everyone was so kind and attentive. The atmosphere is lovely, it's well decorated and cozy! I would definitely come back!“
“Flavor of India in Burbank serves up some really tasty dishes, especially the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken. Their Samosas are a must-try too. It's a great spot for grabbing a quick bite or ordering food to go. The area is bustling with lots of other places to hang out like the mall orMovie theater, but this place stands out. Finding a parking spot is easy and free, with several options nearby, including a parking structure right next door. Whether you're looking to dine in or take out, this restaurant is a solid choice. The service is friendly, and the food never disappoints.“
“Breakfast and lunch are great at Tray. Everything on the menu is delicious!! Top notch staff as well. The Buttermilk Fried chicken is a Wednesday favorite. They also recently added an amazing Torta to the menu. This place is a DTLA hidden gem!“
“Amazing delicious food!! Great atmosphere and authentic Indian decor! We ordered Sev Puri, Onion Pakoda, Saag Paneer, Navratna Korma, Punjabi chhole with bhature, Garlic butter naan and rice; rasmalai for dessert. Loved all the curries, appetizers and naan was so soft yet firm! Thank you for your excellent service!!“
“I loved the food here. I thought it was full of flavor! The chef puts fresh herbs on top of the dishes and I noticed they had a slightly different spice palate than most Indian food- maybe the Mumbai influence? The only tough part is the price- but makes sense for a celebrity chef. I was very impressed to see the picture of him and the King of Pop!!“
“Usually I will write a long review but I'm going to keep it short and simple. EVERYTHING about this place is amazing. DELICIOUS FOOD everything on the menu that consists of chicken , vegetables, Nan bread, chutney, samosas SO good! I order from here alllll the time to go but I've dined here once and they give these things on the table to eat with different sauces. The people here are really awesome and the place looks super authentic and cute! Highly recommend to everyone :)“
“Really good Indian restaurant that had all the classics. Although slightly less flavorful than I would have liked - it may have been my own fault for ordering a lower spice level.I had the cheese garlic naan and Chicken curry, both of which were delicious. The service was very fast and there was not much of a wait to get seated. This is a great restaurant to get good Indian food if you don’t want to wait too long.“
“This place is the 1st Indian restaurant to make food that is tasty and non spicy! A real game changer for me as I can't handle spicy food at all. And although that did an extraordinary service to adjust that to suit me, it didn't lack flavour and authenticity. Delicious dishes, generous portions and lovely staff ?“
“Delicious food! Every dish was solid and exquisite. Overall, I think it's good food but not worth the price, considering how similar quality dishes could be found more accessibly at other indian places. Tried a variety of dishes: Co-li cauliflower - had a good coconut sauce, cauliflower had a good batter (could have been crispier), despite the menu saying "you cannot miss this", this definitely could have been skipped, especially since its a $20 appetizer Dahi puri - yum Samosas - good, but i can also get a similar quality for much cheaper, wasn't anything extra special Malai kofta - YUMMY, greaty creamy curry dish. Chef's kiss Garlic naan - soooo garlicy i love Kulcha - delicious as well, but not a must Mango lassi - good, ive had better, tbh tastes like the store bought ones“
“Excellent Service, Excellent Delivery, and Excellent Food!!!! We called the restaurant and asked for assistance in ordering. They asked what we like and the degree of "heat" then suggested the perfect dinner! Lamb Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala - terrific! Many thanks to all of the folks at the restaurant- staff, delivery and Chef.“
“This store is owned by a Sylheti family from Bangladesh. They've been in LA since the 90s. This is by far the most Authentic Bengali food I've had in the world, other than Bangldesh of course. Wow, EVERYTHING was sooo good. My mom's a chef in Canada and I liked their food as much as hers (please don't tell her ?)It's a restaurant plus a full on Bengali grocery store inside. You can get "korais ( bengali wok?!) and snacks like Energy biscuits, parle-G, mr. cookies. If you're a 90s kid from BD you'll relate to these ??. I am visiting from Canada but I must say, this place is an absolute gem. And the people are super nice too.“
“The food was amazing! Some of the best Indian food I have ever had. Extensive vegan and vegetarian offerings, and well made. The food was very flavorful and not heavy at all. It was so good I forgot to take photos, so an update will be needed soon next time I order!“
“A very pleasant surprise near Universal Studios. We found a nice Indian restaurant. This nice restaurant serves some good favorite Indian dishes that you would be familiar with. The spices are perfect.certainly enjoyable. Medium heat is perfect and may be geared for the spice lovers thus choose accordingly if you are more adventurous they have hot and very hot options. The decor is nice and cleanThe dining room was packed with customers tonight. They are well situated from their long history at this location. The pricing is reflective of all this and is very good value. You will be well satisfied. We’ll be back real soon Royal Curry“
