“My absolute new favorite restaurant! We were visiting family in LA from Chicago and they took us here, I ended up going three times in my one week visit. Cheese stuffed zaatar and the sojouk kachopuri were my favorite and the garlic chicken wrap was my husbands. Honestly everything we had was delicious and the kids kept asking for the pepperoni pizza and mini pizzas.“

“So I had to get a gift for a friend who lives in Florida, and I am up North. I had ordered from Marge's Bakery in the past but not for a few years and was thrilled to find them again. Jeanette, the kindest, most thoughtful person on the planet took my order and included an amazing array of vegan cookies and 2 vegan mini breads, gift wrapped it up with a lovely ribbon and shipped it out for my friend to get it on his birthday. He absolutely loved everything, but he said the vegan lemon cookies and the mini carrot cake were real stand-outs (and he's very discerning when it comes to desserts!). It's such a joy when you find a place that really comes through for you quality-wise, with customer service that is caring and makes you feel like an old friend. Best bakery ever!“

“I hate to leave a bad review. However the one at Topanga does a deal for Buy 6 get 2 for free. I thought it was the same here. I was going to buy 6 and the employee told me I could only get 1 for free. I ended up only getting 3.They tasted like they were on display all day. Tasted very stale and did not taste like the ones I have from Topanga. I love the cookies there but it was a let down for Northridge. I'm very disappointed and will only go to Topanga for now.“

“Leo's Superfood Cafe is definitely the best way to me! This fully gluten free + fully vegan spot is located in more so in Lake Balboa, California, but actually resides in the city of Northridge, Los Angeles, California in a small plaza lot near the Van Nuys Airport. It's off the intersection of Roscoe Blvd/Louise Avenue in a small plaza with parking. Their baked good are incredible with a big selection of flavors. While their Daring Pot Pie is a top favorite. I can't say anything bad about their pizzas, wraps, quesadillas, sandwiches, shakes, teas, espresso, plates, bowls and other beverages. I do have to avoid their seed based bread do to my sunflower seed allergy, but everything is clearly labeled and the are very allergen cautious. Love their Leo's Superfood Breakfast Burrito, "Meat" Lovers Pizza, Hot Hash Keto Bowl and Crunchwrap. Definitely my top recommend aside from the Pot Pie and desserts. Everything is made with care. The service is excellent and the absolutely love and appreciate their staff as well as all us customers.“

“I stopped by this bakery place today after going to Vons in the same plaza. I basically wanted a light snack and was hoping for a bagel. When I walked inside, there was no one else there so I first look at their cakes on display. Then I saw some pastries and blueberries. They have their menu cycling through on the TV and I saw a blueberry muffin. I didn't see any bagel and that's when a lady working in the back came outside to ask me if I know what I wanted. I went with their blueberry muffin and then asked about their m&m cookies. She said they charge per pound on the cookies so I stuck with just the blueberries muffin. I ate my muffin inside of the place, they had about like 3 or 4 tables for people to sit. Which I was eating there, I looked at their menu on the TV and saw they have crossiant here as well.“

“Quite a large variety of options but the front counter service was lacking, I plainly asked for a raspberry lemon macarons by the time he got to my order he had forgotten and all he heard was lemon so he said they didn't have any and they were obviously in the window display as raspberry lemon“

“I regularly order catering from Cinnabon at Northridge Mall for the law firms I work with, and Maria always goes above and beyond. She makes everything so easy and ensures everything is perfectly packaged and delivered with care. Maria is my go-to for all my holiday catering needs across all the firms I work with. Highly recommended!
She’s the reason I continue to order at this location.“

“I can't rate food because I didn't get any. Today While I was on the way for work I was looking for a bakery and after checking few places in the area something about this bakery caught my attention. Once I parked , I walked along the sidewalk and looks like everything was closed but luckily wasn't. After checking few items I told the lady what I wanted, I ended up getting a small bread, it was delicious, small but tasty $ 2.50. I believe it was a Cheese borek, and is not about the quantity but the quality. I was actually thinking about Napoleon but I don't like crumbs falling around the car while driving, I believe Napoleon is best if it's enjoyed at home with a warm cup of coffee. However I was really thinking to get a khachapurri for my lunch but the problem is that they don't have , we have to let them know like 15 or 20 minutes in advance so they can make it for u, including some other meals from the menu, if anyone is interested make sure to give them a call ahead Everything looks delicious, including the pastry which is like baklava and some other with pistachio crumbs“

“I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I used to come here prior to the pandemic. Then I discovered a similar restaurant nearby that had a little bit more of a friendlier nicer atmosphere, but it closed down after the pandemic. I came back recently for the first time in a long time. The menu is very confusing and there are no prices listed anywhere. There really is no way to make a determination if you want to eat there or not since they do not have prices anywhere and basically only photos of menu items on the wall. There is no way to know if the employees are being honest in terms of what they are charging you. I got papusas which is what I came there for. They seemed a bit over priced in my opinion, but the meal was excellent with plenty of the cabbage "coleslaw" (with pepper in it too which I liked!) that is traditional with the meal, and the sauce was rather good too. They should invest in air conditioning instead of fans which sort of blows things away on the tables, such as your napkins, making the meal as challenging as if it was outdoors during Santa Ana winds (California, not El Salvador. Lol). I was slightly disappointed, but I have not ate out much since inflation has hit so maybe the prices are typical. The food was great so I guess that is what matters the most. Atmosphere inside was much improved with El Salvador images on the walls. I enjoyed the cultural pride presented inside the restaurant.
Vegetarian options: Communication is very poor here. No menu prices posted and no description of the menu items. I do not know if they have any vegan options, but you can get bean and cheese or squash and cheese papusas. Beans seemed to be vegetarian, but communication challenges prevented me from asking. This seems to a place for local people from El Salvador so the food was rather good. It would be helpful to dine with a Spanish speaking friend. This is a good small restaurant to support over the big chains. Support local small businesses like this one.“

“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“
