“3rd time coming here and it was good. I had the billionaire burger which was good but they slightly overcooked my meat. The blue cheese fries were great. Also the raspberry margarita with the nosotros blanco tequila was amazing. Our server was really good, they just happened to be very understaffed so she was doing EVERYTHING.Parking: Parking can be very difficult to find during busy times. You may need to circle the block a couple of times to find someone leaving“
“I've been here a bunch, just realized I've still never written them a review, so fixing that finally. They are definitely a "neighborhood bar" first, cocktail bar second - it's a great chill vibe, the sort of place that's never too busy (at least when I've been there) and where the music is never too loud to be able to talk. Their bartenders are all great, and they have quality spirits and reasonably priced drinks. And they do *have* a cocktail list - but compared to, for instance, Wicked Wolf nearby, for similar prices, cocktails that aren't quite as complex or as exciting, necessarily, but they have all been great cocktails. I also particularly like that they have, at least at the moment, Buffalo Trace on hand, so I can put that in any whiskey cocktail for about the same price. On their current menu, I particularly liked the "Cameoi" (bourbon, basil, lemon, blueberry, hibiscus cider) and the "Conquistador" (corn vodka, frangelico, romepope custard liqueur - as-is, it's basically a drinkable dessert, which is great if you're looking for dessert, but it's also an easy drink to swap different spirits in - I've also tried off-menu versions with mezcal and with Buffalo Trace that were also great.) I have only actually gotten food here once, and it was a couple years ago - their flatbread was nothing I'd go out of my way for specifically, but it's definitely also something I'd be happy to order if I were hungry and I was here. That said, the *real* draw that keeps getting me to stop in here, is the live jazz they have every Saturday at 8 PM. The jazz trio that plays here is fantastic, so whenever I'm out that direction on Saturday in the evening (most likely because something's going on at Wicked Wolf), I also try to arrange to pop in here during the live jazz. Cocktails go great with live jazz, and they're a super talented jazz trio. (But it wouldn't be such a draw if they didn't *also* make great cocktails.)“
“Excellent service, food, and beer. I have tried their osso bucco, fish and chips, sausages, cheeseburger, and pretzels and they have all been amazing. They have a great selection of German beers, too. On the weekends they have a live performer who plays the saxophone which is always wonderful. I would highly recommend!“
“Obsessed! Love the drinks, food, games, and artwork. Bartenders definitely know what they're doing behind the bar. Every drink was freshly made to order and absolutely delicious. Wish I could remember the name of the drinks haha. We also ordered the sweet potato tater tots - perfect appetizer/side to have while getting lost in their games. Such a cute spot for a double date night. Staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our entire visit. They got busy for a Friday night but that never slowed or affected their service. Can't wait to try more of their food menu next time.“
“Hello Guys Marvin Here!!Just found this hidden gem in the most unlikely place Compton!Let me tell you they have it all the ambience is great they have a super duper bartender cashier who is super attentive! It is small but very confortable. Background muaic is nice! They have a craft beer rotation that includes your local California favorites like L.A ale works, Monkish, and alot of others! You cannot beat the prices come down they are child friendly.“
“Great steak.Edit: I've been back multiple times since then and have enjoyed everything that I've tried such as the shepard's pie, and the bacon wrapped figs. Even the ice cream was delicious. There are not many places with spumoni that good.“
“It was such a nice place to find while walking my pup's vet appt. Pet friendly. Happy hour Thursday. Beer: Pizza Port CA honey was smooth. The fish tacos were light, crunchy, and full of flavor. The service was very accommodating and helpful.“
“Our favorite neighborhood hang right now! Riley's never disappoints. I love the Watermelon Margarita. They have a decent beer selection. All the food is excellent! The Poke Wonton Tostadas and Ceviche are delicious and reliable appetizers. The Strawberry Goat Cheese Salad and the Steak Salad are two of my favorites. They serve very, very good pizzas and burgers. But my absolute all time favorite item on the Riley's menu is the Smash Burger. This burger is perfect in every way!!! If you haven't checked Riley's out yet, I recommend you do.“
“We happened to stumble upon The Ordinarie Tavern in Long Beach and we’re glad we did! The service was first rate and the food was really good! I highly recommend the chicken pot pie bites as an appetizer. They were fantastic. We also tried the half chicken entree and the short rib French dip, both of which were also good. Happy Hour is offered from 3-6pm, with specials on beers, drinks and food.“
“This place was amazing! Tonight was our first time here and I cannot wait to go back. The wings are BIG so for the price, this is a steal! We got garlic parm, thr Umami soy, and crispy wings.... alllll Delicious. The fries were super crispy. The cabbage and pickled radishes were also so yum. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. It is a MUST try. Also, they have a great selection of beer and soju!“
“Dietary restrictions: Pizza and breads are very good. I always ask for my pizza to be baked on the lighter side, as they tend to make the pizza quite dark (burnt). Breads are only baked on Fridays. A kosher restaurant I enjoy. So glad they are there.“
“The 6749 (or as locals call it the 40) is one of the older more established beer bars (they also serve food) in Uptown Whittier. The scene here can be anywhere from college kids to older patrons enjoying a nice selection of taps and bottled beers. The atmosphere is very chill and inviting. The music is well varied, they have several TVs for your viewing pleasure. Not overly priced. At times it can get pretty packed and loud here so just be prepared, then other times it can be really mellow. If your in the area and find yourself needing a brew to quench that hop thirst definitely stop by!“
“One visit went to cheer up a friend, wound up doing darts and karaoke. Cocktails were great. We abuse the cocktails more than they abused us. I'm back another time and again friendly staff and great service. This is a new location for Lucky John's.“
“janell has been very friendly great service very knowledgeable. Nice place first time here. Most importantly service has been awesome friendly smile. Great music drinks great. I had sangria, shots of fire ball amaretto. Awesome. Can't wait to come back.“
“The place is unique , because when I watching by the windows honestly I don't have idea is a restaurant. But I walk to go in ..and looks nice in side, the food is really good but the portions is too small. Can I make a suggestion? Please clean the windows“
“Despite the very interesting title, the cafe is very cosy and quaint, although popular among the locals. The menu offers a lot of appetizing dishes, which are prepared professionally and quickly. We had a very good breakfast experience here.“
“We have been here at least a dozen times over the last few weeks due to our house being renovated while staying at a local hotel.Everything from the breakfast to dinner and their beer selection has been amazing. Our favorites are the Chicken Caprese, Reuben and the Miso Salmon. Their fries and desserts are great too!“
“Great customer service and amazing food. The Cheesy Curry Fries are a must try! The Kimchi Fried Rice was also great. The atmosphere is also fun and vibrant and it's relatively affordable. This is a great place for friends and family to share drinks and food.“
