Unexpectedly great. My boyfriend has a set of go-to dim sum places and I am new to the region. I thought I routed us to one of his primary vetted three dim sum places in downtown Oakland, but this place is just outside of dt. When we realized we were not headed to the place he wanted initially, we decided not to reroute and try a new place. Great proportions. Not all is displayed, need to ask for specific dishes.
I went here when they opened at 6am and saw fresh baked trays of Chinese pastries being pulled out of the oven (bolo bao with red bean filling, hot dog buns, char siu baos, and more). Everything was hot, freshly made, and delicious. Four big buns for $8.50 is an amazing deal.
