I love the look of some of the food here but they don't understand gluten or wheat flour, and that's a no go for me. I have eaten their shumai and a few other things but I am always concerned. They use blended rice flour and won't check the bag of promise me it doesn't have gluten and I'm not sure they even interstand me, which is a shame because it might be gf. If you get there early the food looks good but by the end of the day it looks suspect
Their tripe and chicken feet has better flavor than the bigger Chinese establishments in Oakland, but they could work on hiring a better baker so their savory buns is more up to par with other establishments of this kind

Homey Chinese bakery/café in Metro Plaza! I've never actually sat down and tried any of their menu items, but the bakery items are always tasty. They don't have as many of the savory (ham, tomato, etc.) buns that I enjoy as some other bakeries, but their selection of staples (like "gai mei bao" coconut buns, egg tarts, and pineapple buns) is always good.
