Blue Nile Reviews
Absolutely delicious food, friendly service, reasonable prices, easy parking. Wonderful experience!
Nice murals on the walls. Kind server. Not the best Ethiopian food I've had, but not bad. Reasonable prices given that this is the Bay area. We ordered the meat and vegan platter for 4 for $75. We finished every morsel of food. $3 lemonade was not at all special, must be made from a powder, but what can you expect for $3?
Really great food if you like Ethiopian definitely put Blue Nile on your list.

Blue Nile is a small restaurant that offers a taste of Ethiopian cuisine. The Meat Combo Platter is a popular choice, featuring dishes like Doro Wot, a traditional chicken stew with a rich and spicy sauce, and Alicha Yeb'ge, a mild lamb stew. The Beef Bamia, with its tender beef simmered alongside okra and tomatoes, is another savory delight. Vegetarian options, such as the Vegan combo platter, are also available and highly recommended. The restaurant is known for its bold flavors and cozy ambiance, with decor and incense adding to the atmosphere. Customers often find the portions large and the staff kind and helpful. While the service can sometimes be slow, especially during busy times, many enjoy the authentic Ethiopian flavors and the experience of eating with their hands. The lamb stew and meat sambusa are also highlighted as excellent dishes, making Blue Nile a good spot for those wanting to explore Ethiopian cuisine.
