We came here looking for the Chuan Yu that has been written up in a few places. It appears to be in the middle of a transition into a Japanese restaurant, but they still have the Chuan Yu menu available. Certain items they didn’t have. Most of the food was delicious, but not sure how much longer you can expect the Chuan Yu menu to exist.
Honestly the best 2 in 1 cause Japanese and Chinese food?! And they’re both bomb. Would definitely come back again. So yummy
This is our go-to for Chinese in Oakland. I really like the dry spice flavor, and the meat is perfectly tender. They also used to have a happy hour with $5 California rolls that we enjoyed going to. One thing to note is that takeout quality is much lower than dining in which I found out by ordering through DoorDash once. Nonetheless I hope more people try this place.
