Passed by this place for decades and only yesterday stopped to have breakfast. You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. The food (egg scramble for a friend and bagel and lox for me) was delicious and the service was friendly. The building is a funky mix of small rooms, a throw back to the way cafes in the east bay used to be. Will certainly go back.
Now that we can bring our dogs again it is convenient to sit on the patio and have a coffee or breakfast. There was one. Where they were not even letting dogs on the patio for no good reason. They reverted the rule.The breakfast burritos are surprisingly well stuffed with eggs and cheese and the hot sauce is a good amount of spice. Not too hot not too mild.They do not have straws. I just loved this quaint, cozy little cafe, situated in the hillsides of Oakland. I came because I am obsessed with Mr. Espresso coffee beans, which they use for brewed coffee and espresso and also sell by the bag.
