“We had a wonderful dinner at The Altamont last night. Everything was fresh and we finally had a meal that was worth paying for. Steak sandwich, Ruben (specials they were offering), pork sandwich and a kids cheese burger. We also shared a side of fries. We started with the hamachi crudo and oysters which were both amazing. My wife had a delicious octopus and cauliflower dish as her entree and I had the pasta, which was literally as good as any pasta we've had in Italy. Just amazing !”

The setting was absolutely stunning — quiet, serene, and surrounded by natural beauty. It was the kind of view that makes you want to take a deep breath and stay a while. The wines were just as memorable, especially the Zinfandels — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.

To top it all off, we were greeted by Poppy, the sweetest dog who made the whole experience even more charming. Between the warm hospitality, the incredible wines, and the peaceful ambiance, it was the perfect way to wind down our day.

“Amazing place to get a bite. I’ve had Spud’s for a few years now. Their clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had. I live 2 hours away, but make sure I get down to bodega bay every few months. The location is awesome, parking can be not great if it’s the weekend and it’s busy. It’s also great they have specials and locally caught seafood. If you haven’t heard of Spud’s then I’m sorry for ya. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone.”
