“I had the polenta with prawns and crispy cauliflower. It was delicious. The crispy cauliflower was really good dipped in the garlic aioli that came with the lamb burger sliders which my sister in law thought were good. My brother got the short ribs which looked delicious and I will order it next time. My brother said they tasted great. Sadly he doesn't like to share.“

“Our favorite place in Martinez! We love the food, cocktails, fabulous staff, and live music. You can feel the care that goes into everything they offer. Definitely get reservations because Roxx is popular with the locals and out-of-towners.“

“Solid brunch spot. Food was good, huge portions, and the option for bottomless mimosas. They have some good vegetarian options including an impossible patty. No reservations allowed, but you add your name to the check in list. Took about 30 minutes to get seated for a group of 4 (we arrived at 11am and were seated just after 11:30). We were seated in an outdoor tent that was a bit hot from the sun (no ventilation). Friendly servers and they were definitely busy. Were prompt on refilling mimosas though! Would return.Vegetarian options: Avocado salad was yummy. They also have egg and impossible pattysParking: Plenty of parking“

“Ok so first, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS, AMAZING, TERRIFIC, and so much more. Second, once you have ordered your food it will come in 15 or less minutes! Third, once you come into the restaurant, (you may have to wait in a line) the hostess will ask you for your name and phone number, if you want to be seated outside or inside, and how long the wait time is (about 20 minutes). Lastly, you should definitely consider coming to Jack's if you're feeling hungry! (They serve breakfast until 2:00pm and lunch all day.) PS you HAVE to try the Mac and cheese!Vegetarian options: You could get the omelet (which is very good) if you are looking for something that is for vegetarians.Kid-friendliness: The hostess would ask you if you want a kid(s) menus. Plenty of options on the kids menu.“

“Omg, what an amazing and super unique dining experience! If you haven't been to Port Costa in the East Bay and are game for a little off the traditional radar adventure, Bull Valley Roadhouse is such a fun alternative to anything but the ordinary. We chose to sit outdoors because the weather was so beautiful, highly recommend! There's a beautiful cocktail/mocktail/beer/wine menu, and they also do special Sunday drinks & brunch from 11a-3p. As for the dinner menu, our party chose to really go all out in honor of a few celebrations we had! We started with the deviled eggs, beef croquettes, fresh bread and honey butter, the Gentleman's relish toast, mac & cheese, and for the grand finale...we chose the largest beef shank I've ever seen served with broccolini and risotto. Everything was shared, and the shank was a $160 plate but split between our whole group, it was not only of epic proportions and extremely photo worthy, but was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and fun. Finishing with a chocolate caramel cookie, scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream, and topped with chocolate whipped cream (so yum!), I literally was in pure culinary heaven. From the XO chili sauce on the deviled eggs (I asked for an extra side of this sauce to use for the rest of the meal), the crispiness of the croquettes and tenderness of the meat inside, the perfect runny egg atop the Gentlemen's toast, the most deliciously sweet honey butter, to the fall off the bone shank, perfectly salted risotto, broccolini crunch, and of course the creamy Mac n cheese (let it sit for a few minutes to harden)...honestly everything was so divine! From the attentive & friendly service to historical funky ambiance, this is just a spot you have to experience for yourself..can't wait to come back to try brunch on a beautiful day! Def worth the extra splurge for a bit of the weekend spontaneous urge..“

“Saturday review, so beignets available! The best beignets I've had since I moved to California, but still not quite as good as New Orleans. The Workshop is basically a takeout window, but there are a couple of outside tables, so hopefully you can sit and have your coffee and beignets popping hot.“

“My family and I absolutely love this place! The staff is so nice! They make you feel right at home. Some of our favorites have to be the Santa Fe skillet, chocolate chip pancakes (of course!), French toast, and the Cobb salad! Everything is so reasonably priced and comes in LARGE portions! So come hungry or get ready to ask for a to-go box!“

“This was my first time to this restaurant, but I was not disappointed. I have significant food allergies, but I was able to make slight adjustments without any problem, and without any annoyance by our waitress. I had the beet salad and the deviled eggs, and both were delicious. I thought the pricing was fair and a good value for what was served. My salad proportion wise was very large. I would definitely go back if I am in the area.“

“Great tasting food, cozy and charming location plus friendly and attentive service. It’s what makes a restaurant stand out from all the others. Nicki, the owner, goes above and beyond in making sure her guests are comfortable and satisfied. We’ve had brunch as well as Thai meals. Everything was super delicious! Parking is better than downtown Walnut Creek, Concord or Martinez which is another plus. Keep Skylar Bistro in mind for Art and Wine plus Concerts in the Grove later on.Parking: During festivals and concerts, nearby parking may be hard to find - nothing new there. That’s no reflection on the restaurant. Other times, there’s parking out front or across the street plus the Post Office.“

“Wow, what a breathtaking view this restaurant has in the charming downtown of Benicia! The restaurant's setting was simply stunning, with tasteful decor and impeccable ambiance that truly set the stage for a delightful dining experience. Had a simple dinner with a glass of pinot. I opted for the pesto gnocchi, the pesto sauce was so divine that I completely forgot to snap a picture! If you find yourself on a road trip between the Bay Area and Sacramento, this is an absolute must-try. Both the town and this restaurant will undoubtedly leave your heart brimming with happiness“

“Ok if I could give 6 stars I would!! It was a Saturday so brunch was in full effect and we had to wait around 30 minutes. It was worth the wait. I had Biscuit and Brisket (no photos too busy enjoying the food) and a margarita. Seriously everything was delicious!! So flavorful. Service was great. They sat us at a larger table so we wouldn't have to wait longer and our server was attentive and fast. We're definitely going back for dinner. And I want to check out their wine spot in Walnut Creek. Oh they have seating outside with heat lamps and inside too. It's family owned and you get a sense of pride from everyone! Go.Parking: The food is good and the folks who know are coming so a full parking lot tells you something. We find parking right across the street.“

“Everything I've ordered here (dine-in and takeout) salads, breakfasts plates, sandwiches etc have been cooked to perfection, super fresh and tasty ingredients, and abundant portions to enjoy the yumminess again for lunch or dinner. Elevated and palate pleasing menu offerings, like the lemon ricotta pancakes and the tahini lentil salad with added grilled chicken! Some of the dishes come with many different sides (like oatmeal, toppings, bread, fruit) making it a complete family meal. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: They are super nice and patient with my toddler, and always throw in an extra little side or crayons etc when he engages with them <3. It's very sweet AND keeps him requesting for us to go there lol“

“The restaurant is tucked just off the main downtown area. Relaxed open dining environment. Service was quick and attentive. I had the burger with side salad and crème brûlée for desert. Burger was cooked to order and the salad was a nice spring salad with candied pecans, feta cheese, and a simple vinaigrette. The crème brûlée was tasty but a little less crisp on top than would have been ideal. Overall a good place to grab a bite of comfort food.“

“This is a great find. The food is good, the servers are friendly and the service is quick. I just think the design is wrong. They have a lot of large booths that probably seat 8 people. It makes me very uncomfortable to take one of those tables when I'm out for breakfast by myself.“

“We had a great night on our dinner date. I highly recommend this spot if you are in the mood for Peruvian food. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She brought out two samples of wine for me to try and waited until I made my decision. I appreciated this. I would recommend if it’s your first time, the Empanada Sampler of all 4. I would have naturally leaned towards the Cheese with Avocado sauce or the Vegetarian but to my surprise loved the Beef with Rocoto Aioli best. For dinner I had the Organic Quinoa Chopped Salad with chicken. It has romaine, radish, green beans, tomatoes, onions, corn, cilantro, avocado, lime vinaigrette and I loved it! I will be back just for this salad. The flavors were light and the chicken was perfect. It didn’t feel like too much which left room for dessert. My partner had the Shredded Chicken Stew, with slow cooked chicken breast simmered in a mild yellow pepper sauce, with hard boiled egg, Peruvian olive, walnuts and parmesan cheese, served with rice. He liked it and felt it was an authentic dish but would probably try something different next time. Dessert, the bread pudding was wonderful. Pineapple and coconut served with bourbon caramel sauce and whipped cream. If you enjoy these flavors I would recommend this! We will definitely be back!“

“I’m not a fan of fried chicken because most places overcooked their chicken and make it so dry, but this place has the most moist chicken ever. I had tender, and the tender was nicely moist, the batter is quite thick on the tender. My bf had chicken thigh part and it was great. My bf ordered the hot one, it’s very spicy but he could eat spicy fine. He said that “hot” level is enjoyable for him. I chose the mild one and I enjoyed it. The server was nice and attentive. He gave us the “hot” level sample to try on to make sure we could handle it before order.“

“This little joint, honestly reminds me of SoCal in the summer just wanting a charbroil burger. If you constantly go down to Anaheim or Santa Ana area, you know what I mean when I say this. There's not that many places like this in Northern California because everyone's at the main burger corporation spots. The service here was spot on and they were super patient with us on what we wanted, only because it was our first time there. I got the mushroom burger with all the basic toppings on it and I will say, that they cooked this burger exactly how I would eat it, if I were to make it at home. You do have to order the fries and onion rings on the side, but they do offer specials that come with fries or onion rings, but I wanted to actually try one of the burgers on the menu and it did not disappoint at all. I honestly murdered my burger within seconds once I took a bite - LOL. Yes call me hungry! Fries were cooked perfectly and the onion rings come with ranch. No need to ask, because they already have it with it - LOL. Those that love eating ranch with everything knows what I mean. Service is a 10, food is a 10 and the vibe is a 10! Will be making another round here no doubt.“

“I loved their unique list of craft cocktails. They had a long list of hamburgers and sandwiches. The Reuben did not disappoint!!! I was pleasantly surprised by their side salad, which was big enough to be it's own meal. The portion sizes were very generous. “The food is very good. I ask for medium poached eggs, and I get them every time. It is incredibly hard nowadays to find REAL Hollandaise sauce..Egg yolks, real butter and lemon...it's here and good. I would also add the potatoes should have bell pepper and onion mixed in with them...imo...I will say this much, we were in there to sign paperwork for my daughter and her husband's very first house...we met there, specifically because it is an organic place, we had been there many times before. We were there this time to celebrate and sign papers. We were rushed out however, and it should have been noticed by the waiter that we were obviously celebrating... gift bags, mimosas, and an obvious celebratory atmosphere at our table.. pictures were being taken, and paper work everywhere... we were pushed out, the waiter was OBVIOUSLY annoyed that we had been sitting there longer than he deemed necessary, which was unfortunate. He was left, despite his obvious annoyance, a 30% tip. Other than that the food is very good and we will continue to come here. We WILL say, if we get "pushed out" again... it WILL be an issue. As an ex waitress myself, it is imperative that people understand in the service business, not everyone goes out to breakfast all the time, some of us go out to celebrate, to spend time together because we don't see each other that often..... we chose to come see you... it's important that that energy is picked up on. I understand the need to "turn" the table over, BUT when you have a table of six that's paying over $200+ for drinks, breakfast and time.... you should just back off and let us be. Read the table.“

“We were looking for Curry Up Now, didn't realize it was actually part of the Local Kitchens mini food hall, which we'd never seen before but were thrilled to find. We ended up ordering from The Melt and Sushirrito as well, and loved everything. Ordering and pickup were easy, the staff was friendly, and the whole place looked spotless. Our family of four got tikka masala paneer on rice, garlic parmesan fries, tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons, and chicken karaage with Peruvian herb sauce. There were so many great options, we'll definitely be back again soon. It's the perfect place for a group. It's sort of magical that the same little place can provide so many different types of food, all fresh and tasty. There are a few picnic tables out front in case you want to eat there. For takeout, I recommend using the Local Kitchens app to order in advance.“

“We mainly come here for their $1 Taco Tuesdays, which are excellent and better than a lot of the restaurant tacos which cost a lot more. The staff is always pleasant and helpful, and if you're not a beer drinker soft drink or coffee refills are plentiful. “I was skeptical because I judged a book by its cover but was blown away by this place. It's so yummy and filling. While the ambiance isn't anything to leave you speechless it does add character to KeunJib. I've been to some very nice looking places that have served some pretty terrible food so trust me on this that they may be attached to a bowling alley but do not sleep on this place. I ordered the bibimbap with beef and it was over flowing with fresh veggies, a fried egg and beef. They also use the purple rice which most Korean places around here just use regular white rice which I find a let down. I also had the tofu soup and it was delicious and perfect for a cold rainy day. It came with all the side dishes which were tasty. I am looking forward to coming back.“
