“Interesting location as it’s part of a bowling alley. I ordered off of the Korean menu and it was great. The cooking was very homestyle and it really brought back memories of the food I ate when I lived in Korea. Definitely recommend. I ordered the Dak dori tang (spicy chicken stew) and kimchi pancake. Service was great as well.“

“Fresh ahi tuna stack was uber delicious especially if you love sushi. Layers of edamame and cucumber at the bottom, plentiful chopped sashimi grade tuna in the middle and generously minced avocado at the top! YUM -Sorry no photo. I ate it all!“

“Fast food that doesn’t give you indigestion! (5/5 Green Stars) On the downside – the items (e.g., fries) are not dripping in fat. On the plus side, the items are not dripping in fat! It may take a while to get used to the healthier version of fast food, but think of it this way – it’s actually nourishing your body instead of poisoning it. The signature burger, made from organic quinoa and mushrooms is so much better for you than a burger made from meat. Same deal for the planet, with organic and 100% plant-based ingredients. I’m giving Next Level Burger 5/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact for the following reasons: • 100% plant-based. Obvious major benefits to animals, society and the planet. • Organic ingredients. Again, benefits to the planet and society. • All packaging, down to the straws, is compostable. That’s the best way to manage the waste stream for this kind of restaurant. • Next Level has supported groups like BLM and Covid healthcare workers. • Founders advocate for plant-based food to deal with climate.“

I came for boozie brunch and I was SOOO happy she came to Lafayette! Unfortunately, that area isn’t used to that level of fun and people called the cops for no reason at all but I’m glad the establishment allowed us to keep having fun.“

“My husband and I stumbled upon Baxter’s while looking for somewhere to eat for my birthday. It ended up being the best meal we’ve ever had! We had a view of the water, had amazing filet mignon tacos (they were so good, we ordered another round to go), and our entrees were to die for! My partner got the Beef Wellington and it was melt in your mouth! I got the scallops and they were positively delightful! We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and not only was he kind, but you could see the pride he had for his restaurant. We loved it so much that we pretty much immediately decided were going there for our anniversary next month. I cannot recommend them enough.“

“Totally worth the drive to fish and see Barbara when they open for lunch.. Barbara is totally awesome. Cash only don't worry. There is ATM in the back. Large food and alcohol selection. We had no problems finding a seat on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of amazing outside seating looking at the lake. Side note my friend comes here occasionally and fishes on the straight. He took me here today and we almost caught a Sturgeon together.“

From the moment we walked in, we felt like guests in a welcoming place, after a long day of appointments, we were in search of refuge in the form of chips and salsa, a stiff drink and maybe a plate of nachos before an hour long trek back home to SF. We had the street tacos, rice and beans with chips and salsa. Delicious is an understatement! If you want awesome food, a nice place to eat, indoors or out, OR you prefer street side at a table to people watch, indoors for air conditioning, or there's ALSO - the back courtyard with shade and privacy, plenty of seating, fans for hot days or heat lamps for cold nights... THIS PLACE ROCKS! I may regret telling people how awesome this place is but it needs to be recognized. We are picky. This is only my 2nd review...EVER. Thank you, 709 <3 Joel and Heather“

“All I’m gonna say is don’t sleep on the marketplace Café.

This place is great for simple eats like soups, salads, and sandwiches but the spicy shrimp Pomodoro and the pepperoni and mushroom pizza were surprisingly tasty. They also have seasonal specials like birria pizza, yum!

The pizza reminded me of the pizzas that you get at an artisanal pizza joint. It was handmade and executed really well.

The blackened salmon Caesar is so delish and I order it frequently for lunch.

My server Oscar was pleasant, kind and attentive.“

“Dined here before seeing a show in S.F. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The staff were attentive and personable. Service was timely and we felt looked after and cared for. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the scallop with pasta dish! We are fairly well traveled and have dined in Michelin starred restaurants all over the world, including the French Laundry. In our opinion, this bistro does not suffer in comparison.“

“Our party of 3 had a lovely lunch on the patio to celebrate a birthday. The food was very good... quiche and crab sandwich as well as the desserts... bread pudding and special dessert for the birthday girl. The service was very slow, and we rarely saw our waitress unless we asked for her. The noise level on the patio was very loud. We would come back again despite the short falls.“
