“Fast food that doesn’t give you indigestion! (5/5 Green Stars) On the downside – the items (e.g., fries) are not dripping in fat. On the plus side, the items are not dripping in fat! It may take a while to get used to the healthier version of fast food, but think of it this way – it’s actually nourishing your body instead of poisoning it. The signature burger, made from organic quinoa and mushrooms is so much better for you than a burger made from meat. Same deal for the planet, with organic and 100% plant-based ingredients. I’m giving Next Level Burger 5/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact for the following reasons: • 100% plant-based. Obvious major benefits to animals, society and the planet. • Organic ingredients. Again, benefits to the planet and society. • All packaging, down to the straws, is compostable. That’s the best way to manage the waste stream for this kind of restaurant. • Next Level has supported groups like BLM and Covid healthcare workers. • Founders advocate for plant-based food to deal with climate.“

I came for boozie brunch and I was SOOO happy she came to Lafayette! Unfortunately, that area isn’t used to that level of fun and people called the cops for no reason at all but I’m glad the establishment allowed us to keep having fun.“

“My husband and I stumbled upon Baxter’s while looking for somewhere to eat for my birthday. It ended up being the best meal we’ve ever had! We had a view of the water, had amazing filet mignon tacos (they were so good, we ordered another round to go), and our entrees were to die for! My partner got the Beef Wellington and it was melt in your mouth! I got the scallops and they were positively delightful! We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and not only was he kind, but you could see the pride he had for his restaurant. We loved it so much that we pretty much immediately decided were going there for our anniversary next month. I cannot recommend them enough.“

We had no problems finding a seat on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of amazing outside seating looking at the lake. Side note my friend comes here occasionally and fishes on the straight. He took me here today and we almost caught a Sturgeon together.“

“It is such a beautiful little place. It has a cozy atmosphere. The food was fabulous. We had a party of 13. We had a wide range of delicious food. Lamb ..Chicken Filet Mignon.. Mussels .. Prawns... They offer many different dipping sauces. And some are uniquely made in house.They also offer free wi fi ???Update to review: The food has gotten even better! You will find a full menu with about 50 items and specials every night to keep things new. Every thing I've ordered has been almost gourmet level and delicious. The ownership is doing a superb job on the menu and food preparation.“

From the moment we walked in, we felt like guests in a welcoming place, after a long day of appointments, we were in search of refuge in the form of chips and salsa, a stiff drink and maybe a plate of nachos before an hour long trek back home to SF. We had the street tacos, rice and beans with chips and salsa. Delicious is an understatement! If you want awesome food, a nice place to eat, indoors or out, OR you prefer street side at a table to people watch, indoors for air conditioning, or there's ALSO - the back courtyard with shade and privacy, plenty of seating, fans for hot days or heat lamps for cold nights... “All I’m gonna say is don’t sleep on the marketplace Café.

This place is great for simple eats like soups, salads, and sandwiches but the spicy shrimp Pomodoro and the pepperoni and mushroom pizza were surprisingly tasty. They also have seasonal specials like birria pizza, yum!

The pizza reminded me of the pizzas that you get at an artisanal pizza joint. It was handmade and executed really well.

The blackened salmon Caesar is so delish and I order it frequently for lunch.

My server Oscar was pleasant, kind and attentive.“

“What a fun night. This was our first time @ Citrus Fresh Grill and we very much enjoyed it. Started with some delicious appetizers that all at the table partook from and all were happy. For entrees between us we tried Fresh Grilled Cod, Skirt Steak, Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Caesar salad - let me just say this - we were a clean plate table because everyone loved their food. The only sad part was we were to full to even look at the dessert menu. Can't wait to go back.“

“This is a restaurant that truly cares about and values its customers. Because we live close by it is a place that we have been coming to for so many years that we remember when the Bistro was only the bar area and the restaurant was the Duck Club. And we always enjoy the service and ambiance. But on a recent visit we had a poor experience with the food. The staff was definitely attentive in trying to remedy things but the kitchen was having an off night. Last week we were craving their delicious onion soup so we made a reservation to go back. From the gracious personal greeting from the hostess to the service and food in the dining room everything was outstanding. And we were told that the staff had been briefed about our previous visit. Both the manager and the assistant manager came by to thank us for coming back and giving them another chance. You can be sure that we will continue to be loyal customers and we are sharing this experience with friends so the word will get out. Thank you Bistro staff for a level of attentiveness and excellence that is hard to find these day.“
