“Honestly probably the best mariscos I’ve had! I love the aguachile! The mariscos pieces are always plump and big, they really don’t skimp out on it. The owner is so friendly and willing to help you decide what to get based on what you like. The vibe is really chill with music always playing and tables to sit and eat at. Such a fun vibe. But the best thing about this place is probably the spicy red sauce. It goes good on everything! Seriously the star of the place, I crave it randomly all the time. Can’t recommend more!“

The service is excellent, they answered all my questions and explained their menu. I created my own sandwich with some recommendations from Johnathan who was awesome. “4+ Considered one of the best by many or at least one of the most popular taco spots in Los Angeles. They have a good variety of items and meats, but I would say they are most known for their al pastor (marinated, spit-roasted pork that is usually served with a slice/ chunk of pineapple). The service here is pretty efficient since they have to be - there's almost always a line. The vibe: depending on the time of day or night you come, it's usually a mixed group of people wanting to try this spot, people eating after a drinking session, or just people looking for decently priced tacos. One of the times I was here, I was standing behind Dante Basco (Rufio!), haha. Usually a fun vibe for sure. My usual here is two tacos (typically the al pastor) and a mulita. It used to be that there was a toppings and salsa bar where you would dress up your food. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or people taking advantage and taking too much stuff home, you now have to go to a separate window to ask for the toppings and salsa and they're individually packaged. I definitely think this place is worth going for the al pastor. I myself have been here multiple times. Parking can be tough, but if you are going during the week there's usually parking along the street facing south on LA Brea right around the corner. Just be careful though as it is a relatively high traffic area and some people seem to drive recklessly in this area.“

“My go-to place for food at Anime Expo and other anime events. I always enjoy their katsu curry sandwich. The chicken cutlet has a nice balance of crispy and juiciness and goes well with the curry. They sometimes also have other items as well, such as the yanki burger and curry rice, that are just as delicious and filling as the sandwich. Recently, at AX Chibi 2023, I tried out the okonomiyaki fries since Okamoto Kitchen was out of the katsu curry sandwich. It is like chili fries except the fries are topped with okonomiyaki toppings such as ginger, JP style mayonnaise, and okonomiyaki sauce. The okonomiyaki fries are now of my new favorites from this place. It has a delightful balance of sweet and savory. The fries were also crispy and weren't soggy. If you're at an event like Anime Expo, I recommend visiting Okamoto Kitchen before or after lunchtime/dinnertime because the lines become long, and you will have to wait a while. One important tip is that during Anime Expo and other events like it, they only accept credit and debit cards. Be prepared for that. Furthermore, if there is an item that you absolutely want, I recommend visiting the booth ASAP as some popular food items like the Katsu Curry sandwich sell out by the end of the day.“
“I have been a face painter at Mr. Bones pumpkin patch throughout the month of October, and almost every day I’ve been there, I got lunch from the Maravilla truck. They are incredible!! Everything I tried was delicious, and the seasoned fries were a personal favorite. They are all so friendly too. Face painting at the patch is definitely a high pressure job, especially when it’s busy, and Maravilla really helped to keep my spirits (and energy) up the whole time! As we drove up we witnessed customers eating on their vehicles, so when in Rome do as the Romans. I've had thier mulittas, quesabirria and had for the first time today thier Birria Noodles in which all have been outstanding in taste, filling and freshness. “Very good! The service was friendly and great--very helpful in helping us decide what to order. The goat taco was surprisingly good! Enjoyed the shredded beef empanada, which was huge and topped with avocado and lettuce. We ordered the horchata- which was yummy. They gave it to us while we waited for the food (it was a hot day), and then topped it off for us when the food came! They do have small chairs to sit on and plenty of shade. Their menu has a lot of options but I come for the al pastor and it is amazing! Perfect flavor and love the pineapple. I forgot the price but it was very reasonable. There usually is a line at this place even late at night... a good sign that it's good!
