“I usually go for the short ribs (which are phenomenal), but I thought I’d try the grilled garlic shrimp for a slightly healthier option. Unfortunately, like the other review said, it’s pretty nasty. They should call it “slightly battered jarred garlic shrimp” instead. The mac salad is delicious though.“

“I helped set up the event center for a quince. Ms. Roberta was there every step of the way, making sure we had everything we needed. She loan us her cart and kept checking on us. The venue is beautiful. There is plenty of room for the dance floor and photo booth. The parking lot isn't very big but plenty of room on the side street. If you are looking for a nice and clean venue with wonderful and hard working staff, Azar Event Center is a perfect location.“

“I ordered a funeral spray for my mother in law's memorial service. I grew up working in the floral industry so I had specific flowers I wanted to include or omit from the spray and a vision of the arrangement. Rosemills went above and beyond what I envisioned. The flowers were perfect, beautiful quality and admired by everyone at the service. They really nailed my flower love letter to my mother in law. I am very grateful.“

Being Dia de los Muertos/Halloween season, Nomad Ice Pops had some popsicles shaped like skulls. After perusing the menu, horchata stood out & compelled a purchase.Horchata ($3.50)-Sabroso! Horchata was one of my favorite drinks, when I didn't care about sugar, calories, good health, diabetes. Heck, I remember I bought a large horchata from a former Albertaco's in Hawaiian Gardens, only to come back in a hour or so & buy another one. For shame! Anyhoo, Nomad Ice Pops' dairy-free horchata popsicle had all the taste & flavors of horchata that I remembered. It was frozen solid, meaning it didn't melt at all on a high 80's day. I ate the whole popsicle one bite at a time, which made things less messy.Service was good. Nomad Ice Pops operates as a takeout window. Parking is via street or at Mission San Gabriel.Nomad Ice Pops cooled me off on a hot day. I enjoyed my horchata popsicle & appreciated how solid it remained while consuming it. Nomad Ice Pops is a great option when looking for a sweet frozen treat.“

“Oh my, I think I have a new addiction. The green Olive. This little grill, so delicious. Parking is a problem, unless you park in front of another business unit. Greek Grilled and charbroiled Kabobs Chicken,Fillet Migon are my favorite. The portions are squeezed into small styrofoam containers. Not good for the environment! But the food is delicious. Prices are the maximum I pay for street eats. The service? They have a hard working good group, so tip them. No pictures here, because I'm hungry. Only caution, They take on line orders, hopefully you don't get behind a slew of them,or your order may take a little longer, but you can bet it will be worth the wait.“

“I was very fortunate to find City BBQ! Communication is smooth from start to finish. Liset provided me with a quote for a 20-person birthday party for smoked ribs, brisket, mashed potatoes and cheesy potatoes. The pricing is reasonable and most importantly the food was DELICIOUS! Being that this is my first time ordering from them, there was some hesitation but let me say, that I was pleasantly pleased by the flavor of the food. The meat from the ribs was tender and falling off the bones. The briskets so tender and full of flavor. The mac and cheese and cheesy potatoes was all sooo delicious! My family all asked where the food was from and kept raving about it. It was so fulfilling and we will certainly consider using them again and refer them to friends and family!! “As you can see, I frequent this restaurant a lot. Lately, I’ve noticed a new cashier, short brunette hair glasses, and she doesn’t know what you offer. 2 times, today being the second, I’ve come in and ordered the BLT wanting a side salad for my side dish and she has replied that you don’t offer it. Luckily, it was another lady in front who interjected and said “we do” and showed her where it was on register. Today I come in wanting a BLT w/side salad and with an unflattering tone said “we can’t do that”. I ask her does she remember us going over this the first time she says “no we don’t offer that here”. There was another lady there who was on the phone and I proceeded to wait until she got off the phone to ask her. When she sees me about to take it a step farther by asking someone else ONLY THEN she says “I guess we can do that.” She was trying to get me to pay an extra 6.99 for a side salad. I wonder how many who have gone through this who did not ask any further questions to someone different has this happened to. The lady gets off the phone and I ask her she states “yes, you can get a salad as your side.” I order an executive box with 3 cookies. As always, they forget to give me my cookies. I tell the cashier w/glasses they forgot to put cookies in. Do you know this lady has the audacity to say “let me check your bag” after she seen me checking bag as if I was lying trying to get free cookies. She says after throughly searching “you did not get 3 from here” pointing to basket. I say no. She says “ you can get three”. She didn’t say thank you after handing me my receipt, no greeting just NOTHING! She needs to learn the menu and improve her customer service immensely. I love coming here but I dislike after paying $14 for lunch, leaving restaurant in a sour mood d/t inept customer service.“

(winking at you and making you feel like a million dollars after a first degree burn from toasting in the sun). Ordered a fisherman sandwich. Pretty much a tuna sandwich. AMAZING AND REFRESHING. The bean sprouts were the finishing touch on that one. I do wish they would've added one or two more to pickle spears.“
