She made my sandwich just how I ordered it and even offered avocado & I hadn't even thought about addong avocado to a chickem sandwich. It was delicious! Parking: Shares a huge parking lot with many other restaurants and shops. I walked there from my hotel room but walked thru parking lot and saw many packed spots with no open spots .“

This is not Subway…no shade 😂 But if you want a QUALITY sandwich, come here and learn what “sandwich artist” is actually supposed to mean. The bread? QUALITY. The ingredients? Fresh. The whole sandwich? Just…YES.

And let me talk about the potato salad because somebody momma PUT. HER. FOOT. IN. IT. 😂👏🏾 It tasted like my mom made it daily…CHEF’S KISS. The pasta salad is good too! Actually, ask them how they would eat everything. Trust me…they will not lead you astray.

I brought my dad with me and we got our food to go. Baby…that food did not make it past the parking lot. 😂😂 We were supposed to take it home. Supposed to. The plan changed somewhere between the front door and the car.

The shop is small, but somehow you don’t want to leave. And the people working there? Some of the friendliest, funniest people. You can genuinely tell they enjoy working there and actually enjoy meeting and talking with their customers. That kind of energy is rare.

I was literally trying to poach them to come open a spot where I work…THAT is how good they are. 😂 If I’m trying to recruit your entire operation, you know the food is doing what it needs to do.

Gen Z would probably say the place has AURA. My millennial colleagues would say this place is BUSSIN. Either way…The Garden Deli is THAT GIRL. 😂🔥

Catch them now while you still can because I have ZERO doubt they’re going to blow up. Get your sandwich, get the potato salad, get the pasta salad, ask them what they recommend and trust the process.

And please…don’t sleep on this place. Your taste buds deserve better than a footlong wrapped in sadness. 😂“

“It's not the best banh mi around, but certainly the best price/quality ratio in Alhambra. The line can be long and you can order ahead (phone), but if you just drop by around noon. Expect a bit of a wait. The owner speaks English, Vietnamese and Cantonese, so walk in with no fear. Coffee is excellent here too.“
