Their banana pudding and chocolate pudding are my absolute favorites! Like they are DANGEROUSLY good!! I may or may not hide them from my kids! I also love their new brownie edges!! My mom‘s favorite is their sprinkle cookies, to the extent that she will make a special trip to Hapa anytime she’s in town to get herself some! As for their shop, they have done so much to update their storefront! It is so cute and inviting! Beautiful, clean displays and the perfect backdrop for that must-have selfie for socials! “The cookies are always great. The employees sometimes stand around and ignore customers that need help using the touchscreen order pad. I have witnessed older people walk in, not know how to use the touch screen device, and employees just watch them struggle. Other than that everything is great.“

“I first tried the classic alfajores from Sweet Andes when my husband and I were taste testing for our wedding earlier this year. Ever since I tried Peruvian-style alfajores as a teen, I knew I wanted alfajores for our big day. My parents are from Mexico and I know Mexican wedding cookies exist but I enjoy alfajores much better. I have tried plenty of alfajores over the course of several years trying to find the exact taste from when I had them as a teen, but did not have much luck. I was so happy when I found Sweet Andes and read on their website that they follow a Peruvian recipe! We immediately placed an order and I finally found the taste from many moons ago! We ordered 200 classic alfajores for our wedding in August 2024. Each guest received one and we had 40 left over — all of which were gone before dinner was served! Our guests really enjoyed them. Sweet Andes is now my go-to Alfajores spot!! It is also very easy to place an order and they have fast + friendly communication.“

“This was my first time trying a tart cake, and I was so excited that I drove two hours just to get it. The cake tastes really good, and it reminds me a lot of Napoleon (mille-feuille). If I had one suggestion, it would be for the fruit on top to be a bit sweeter, as some pieces were a little unripe. Other than that, my family and I loved it. The owner was also incredibly sweet and friendly.“

“The store is so warm and inviting and smells like warm bread. I’ve heard so many great things about this bakery, and was glad to see I could pre-order online at their website. I love how there’s an option to customize and add toppings of your choice. This is probably the best bread I’ve had in the states. I love sourdough bread, but sometimes it’s a bit too tangy/sour. The sourdough here is not tangy nor sour. I usually get indigestion after eating bread sometimes but I feel great:) This place truly lives up to all the positive reviews, and I’m so glad I discovered such a hidden gem! My mom also says she only wants to eat bread from here from now on? I do not have any photos because we started consuming the bread as soon as we got into the car! It’s that good! Breakfast Experience

I visited in the morning for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Their Croissant Sandwich was a great choice—crispy on the outside and filled with ham, cheese, egg, and lettuce, making for a satisfying and protein-rich meal.

For my drink, I tried the Black Sesame Latte, but it was a bit disappointing. The sesame powder didn’t dissolve well into the hot milk, and no one informed me that it needed stirring, which affected the overall taste.

Environment & Amenities

There are plenty of seats, but a few downsides for those looking to work or study here:

No power sockets, which makes it inconvenient for long stays.

No WiFi, so it’s not the best place for remote work or studying.

Not dog-friendly—only service dogs are allowed, so pet owners should take note.

Final Thoughts

Sobok Sobok has potential, and with a few small improvements, it could be a fantastic go-to spot for both breakfast and dessert lovers.

While my breakfast experience was mostly enjoyable, I’d love to return to try their shaved ice and ice cream next time, as those seem to be their specialties.“

“We are from Wisconsin and were at Da Vien Coffee nearby. I wanted to get a quick bite before starting our day and found this bakery via Google search. I opted for the Banh Mi Viet Nam - it was so good that all (7) parties from my group had a bite. We ended up going the next day again to get more for everyone. The lady in front (maybe the owner?) was really nice and helpful in recommending new things to try. They were baking pastries in the morning, and saw that the almond croissants were freshly out of the oven, so got one as well. Everything was so good, and we'll try more next time!“
