“I have ordered burgers to go from Bones Roadhouse on my last two trips to the Placerville, CA area. Both times the burgers were cooked and topped exactly as requested and ready when promised. The location appears to be a typical roadside local spot, and that's exactly what drew me to it. They pack each item in its own bag so it's easy to identify every person's order without having to open each burger. The burgers are juicy and delicious (you'll need extra napkins) and the fries and onion rings are both great as well. Next time I will try eating in and have one of their specialty cocktails, all of which sounded amazing.“
“Casual, family-owned chain that offers Mexican favorites. Although, we did not dine in, we did have a takeout order that was ready for pickup at the scheduled time. Portion sizes were great and the food was tasty. Tried their carnitas burger, Fajita quesadilla, and abuelas taquitos. If I'm in the area again, I'll dine in for the full customer experience.“
“I love this place, I really do, but I'm from Monterey and I guess my standards for seafood are high, but this place is pretty good for being so far from tbe ocean. So 4 stars for not warming the bread and the service can be iffy. I still love going here, I don't really eat carbs anyway. Lol The patio is really cool with the creek running under and u can bring your dogs!“
“Very narrow restaurant with a spectacular atmosphere with music and tvs playing scenes of ireland and nature. Nice alcohol options. But dont get the steaks, I went with my father, who got the filet Mignon. It was a medium thickness and quite small it also came with 2 peeled and stemed carrots 4 brussel sprouts cut in half. I had the shepherds pie which came with garlic mashed potatoes and green goddess salad. My pie was great but the steak was somehow full of gristle. But for the main draw being fondue the pies are a though worthy option.“
“Visitng town and family recommended The Forester for dinner. From them, I found out the history of the Past and Present of the restaurant. The old location, the new and still shifting into full gear in some parts. Noting they are getting the flow going, sometimes felt a little hectic, but there were so many redeeming points. My favorite was having a small conversation with Helen after dinner. Bill she mentioned you as well! I had the Jagersnitzel w Kraut and Dumpling w Gravy. If you've experienced true German food before. You can appreciate this food greatly. The dumpling was spectacular, the pork was juicy while breading was soaking in the greatness from the mushroom gravy. We only visit a couple times of year and will make this a staple. Bill & Helen, keep on doing what youre doing. Its hard to run a business, let alone make one feel like home with good food."Showing love from Southern California ?"“
“Friendly, affordable and great ambiance. Easily the liveliest place around on a weekend night, and the pizza we had was tasty and well above our expectations as travelers. Nicely sprawling outdoor scene with live music (when we were there) behind the little building where they take your orders. Shout out to the hard working staff who got us our pies- with smiles - in next to no time despite beginning to run out of pizza!“
“Fun spot, friendly people. Pool, shuffleboard, dance floor, good drinks at a decent price and again, nice people. Food isn't the top of their list, but we were told we could bring outside food in if we wanted. Sounded like they have food service on one of the weekend days. We will be back to hang out again.“
