Relaxing music plays in the background, tables are gorgeous handcrafted wood slabs, and the vibe is genuine.

At the center of it all is the star performer, a delectable, piping hot chai, poured from a huge, shiny silver tea pots—the biggest I’ve ever seen! The chai is made with love, organic milk and spices from Nepal, which directly supports farmers there.

“Their signature Mr Sun Green Tea brought me in here. It is green tea mixed with a 0.0 Heineken. Interesting combo that works very well together. I liked it, and I would recommend giving it a try atleast once.

The last time I came by - I was in the area picking up dinner and I didn’t realize what time this place closes - It was more than an hour past their close time and the owner was almost done packing up and about to leave, but when they saw me, they offered without hesitation to make my drink - I don’t even come by that regularly and in this day and age, we sometimes forget that there are genuine, kind people who still know what hospitality and customer service is. “Earlier this week, I got Palmetto's Bay Blend after a long day at work. It was a full day of work and then an hour long meeting after work hours. I wanted to treat myself to something refreshing, delicious, and healthy. I knew that Palmetto was exactly what I would fulfill that criteria.

The Bay Blend has a rich blend of acai, pitaya, and coconut milk. The acai- one of the purest and most concentrated blend of acai I've had. It tastes clean and refreshing, not powdery & bitter, as some acai blends tend to be. The pitaya (dragon fruit) doesn't taste artificial like a lot of other blends I've tried elsewhere. It truly tastes natural. The coconut milk blend is creamy and fragrant, without being overpowering. The acai, pitaya, and coconut milk flavors really come together harmoniously. The gogi berries toppings were also not overdried and hard to chew like many other acai places. I've had acai bowls in many other places including famous ones in Hawaii, but none have been better Palmetto. I am so pleased that I can get such quality acai bowls locally in the Bay Area!

I had the pleasure of speaking to the owner, about Palmetto and I was genuinely touched when hearing about how she came to open up Palmetto. As an-all things health and well-being enthusiast and mother of two, she told me that she cares a lot about her family's health. She's particular about ingredients her family eats, fitness, preservatives, dyes, plastics, etc. She wanted to feed her children something healthy and delicious, not junk food like ice cream and candy. She did her research and came across Palmetto. She looked into the ingredients and whether the business was reputable. To her, Palmetto isn't just a business venture- it is something she is passionate about and wants to share with others. I think something that makes this particular Palmetto location special is her heart and passion for the ingredients, the taste, and the texture. She is also a very big texture person, according to her, and is very particular about making sure that she's able to provide the best texture as a way to deliver the best acai experience for everyone. I am really rooting for this Palmetto location to do well- not just because I plan to continue to come to this location for my own selfish reasons, but also because I think that business owners like her should do well.

“I went to Tapioca Express in Alhambra on Monday the 15th around noon. I ordered a Thai Tea, which is personally my favorite! I usually order Thai Tea ever where I go because I can't get enough. Haha, The two people that were helping me were Jo and Steve or Steven, I didn't quite hear the other employee name but it's somewhere along those lines. They were super nice! Right when I walked in, I was greeted with "Welcome to Tapioca Express!" It made me feel very welcomed, which is a feeling everybody should feel when they walk into a store. Since I always order Thai Tea, I just wanted to take a look at the menu and see what other options they had. They offered me other drinks but I had to stay with my usual. I liked how they were so patient with me. The Thai Tea tasted amazing! The sugar was just perfect! I will be coming back! Thank you for being patient and having a great customer service!“

“I got the rose milk tea (which is great by itself) and the fried tofu (spicy). Both items were 10/10. I was pleasantly surprised how crispy, tasty and spicy the tofu was. You can get it mildly spicy or very very spicy. I am glad to have T4 so close to where I live. The folks working behind the counter are super nice and hard-working.

“Ordered for the first time today! We ordered the Ooolong Tea, Watermelon Smoothie, Honey Popcorn Chicken and Fish and Chips. They were all excellent and the pricing was perfect! Just the right amount of food for the price :-) I tried my better half's Ooolong Tea and liked it. I probably would have liked it more if it was hot instead of cold, but that is just me. My watermelon Smoothie was delicious!!! Very good for a 95 degree day :-) I tried my better half's Honey Popcorn Chicken too. It was good even though I am not into sweet meats, like orange chicken ;-) My fish and chips were delicious. I got 4 pieces of fish with my order and a good amount of french fries with it. I probably should have ordered another tartar sauce, because I LOVE tartar sauce with my fried fish.
