Naschmarkt - Pleasanton Reviews
Great food and service! Prices were right for the amount of food we got. Food was delicious. Highly recommend Schnitzel. The only issue - as the restaurant got filled to capacity, the noise level increased inside the small space that some may find bothersome.
Great food, great service, very nice atmosphere!
If you like different European cuisine, Naschmarkt is a gem. We were looking for cuisine that reminded us of her Austrian grandmother's cooking. My wife had the classic weiner schnitzel and I ordered the goulash with spatzle. The night ended with a beautiful apple strudel. This is two restaurants in one: the indoor is simple and elegant - like a fine Viennese restaurant, and the outside is casual as it opens up to a busy Main Street.

Naschmarkt is an Austrian restaurant located in Pleasanton, California. The restaurant is beautiful, with a full bar and a peaceful, inviting ambiance. The food and drinks are incredible, with extremely high food quality for low prices, making it one of the best bargains for fine dining in the Bay area.
The menu features excellent traditional German food with a nice modern twist. Specific meals mentioned include a delicious schnitzel with potato & cucumber salad, a great sausage plate with three big sausages, mustard, fantastic potatoes, sauerkraut, and red cabbage, and a fantastic jägerschnitzel (unbreaded schnitzel with rich mushroom gravy) with spaetzle. The spicy bratwurst was a pleasant surprise, and the arugula and beet salad was wonderful. For dessert, the Salzburger Nockerol Vanilla Soufflé was amazing, and the apple strudel was good.
Waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive, and service was super friendly, generous, and fast. Some staff could use additional refresher training, as they did not always understand orders. The seating was a little bit crammed with small tables. Parking is super easy to find. This is a perfect date spot, and one of the better kept secrets in the Pleasanton restaurant row.
