“Such a charming little spot! I came in alone and sat by the window — it was peaceful and lovely. I ordered a cappuccino and their famous eggs benedict, and both were incredible. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise had the right amount of tang. The staff was sweet and didn’t rush me at all. Great place to enjoy a quiet breakfast or get some work done.“

“Best SISIG I've ever tasted... anywhere. Even in the Philippines.
I went there for lunch one time and I forgot my wallet... The owner (I believe) told me it's fine, that I can come back and pay another time.
Wow, how kind. I was on my lunch break so I had no time to come back and would've just left without the food if he didn't allow me to do that. I came back right away after work and paid it.
Thank you so much.
Great food, the best in San Diego. Better than Titas in National City. Definitely visit this place!“

“Orient Valley Filipino Cuisine is like a warm hug from your tita, but with better food. The lumpia is crispy, the adobo is full of flavor, and the halo-halo is a sweet, ice-cold masterpiece. It’s the kind of place where you’ll overeat, but it's totally worth it because who’s counting calories when there’s turon involved?“

“No joke the best mexican food place by far. I was questioning my choice in buying because i spent $25 for a large pacman fries which is the most ive spent on carne asada fries. But once my order came out i knew it was worth the money. This can feed a family and take days to finish by urself. Also the menu options are amazing and love the filipino additions! Would recommend to everyone.“

“One of the best place to visit if you are craving for Filipino food. There are plenty of options and my recommendations would be the sisig and bbq. The ambience is good and it can accommodate a lot of people. The staff are friendly and efficient. Be ready to eat cups of rice because the food is yummy“

“This is a hole in the wall. Line up and get your food and take it out to the outdoor public seating. They have an eclectic mix of (I want to say) Filipino barbecued pork, barbecue, chicken adobo, curry chicken, spicy chicken, some kind of sausage, fried rice, plain rice, chow mein. The barbecue pork is so expletive delicious! It has a sweet and charred flavor.“

“Trining’s is “in transition” and it shows. The front is a bit disorganized, but well divided into baked goods and ready-made take out products. The menu is hand-written on a wall-mounted white board (see pictures), but is easily understood and clearly legible.
Now, for the food—Very good! Loved the lumpia. The sweet chili sauce had just a hint of heat to it. Perfect!
We also got chicken adobo and pancit. Both were excellent. Since I ordered two combos to go, I was very careful not to tip the containers and tried to avoid contaminating the pancit with adobo sauce. All for naught. I must have leaned on the brakes a bit too heavily because the very fluid adobo sauce obeyed the laws of physics and colored both the pancit and lumpia. With dark, rich, peppery adobo flavoring. But—it was still great! The chicken adobo was tender and tasty, and the pancit was yummy, even though it tasted more like adobo than pancit. The lumpia, as I expected, was to die for. Crisp and crunchy with a hint of heat from the chili sauce. So good!
Well done Trining’s. Get your front together and I’ll be back. Can I bring some friends with me? I’ve got some East coast buddies who think egg rolls are the bomb. Your lumpia can easily blow that theory out of the water…“

“Amazing tasting food, great service, and available seating for in door dining.
BBQ chicken is slightly better than the pork.
They dip the bbq sticks in BBQ sauce before they serve you. Please note that the bbq sticks are already pre marinated with that same sauce. Ask them not to dip it if you don't want double dip.
Pork tocino is amazing as well as their sinigang. Good prices as well!“
