“I was staying with family nearby and saw that there was a Filipino bakery along the way. I got their ube bread ($5.75), saipin saipin, and kusinta, and large tray of ensaymada to share. Ube bread was dry but the ensaymada was moist and had plenty of butter, sugar, and grated cheese on top.

“I tried the trending Ilocos empanada for the first time, and it was such a great experience! 😍 I had been searching for a place to buy one, and luckily i came across a Facebook post offering pre-orders on Tuesdays with pickup on Fridays at My Haus Restaurant and Bakery in Murrieta. 📍

When i finally got it, I was surprised by how big it was! 🤯 It was so filling that it ended up being my entire lunch. It also came with Ilocos vinegar, which added a nice tangy flavor that really brought everything together. 🤤
