“Came back today and everyone and everything is awesome. This time I controlled myself and didn't inhale without taking a picture. Warning that door dash isn't the best so they may offer you bogus discounts or overcharge, etc. hopefully they can get a better vendor like toast or square.

Anyways buy from them whenever you can. 100% worth the time and the drive.

“I love the food at Los Grullenses. My go to order is the pastor quesadilla and a large of beans and rice. I can make three meals out of this order. But, if I’m honest, I really make the drive over from Monterey for their green salsa. It is sooo good. The atmosphere isn’t the best so I get my food to go.

The constant struggle is the salsa. I’m not quite sure what the deal is. They make you pay for salsa, which I’m grouchy about but it’s my favorite so I’m willing to pay. The order for salsa is literally called “4 salsas” and the menu photo shows 4 tiny containers of salsa. Despite ordering it, I almost never get this in my to-go bag, sometimes it’s 2 or 3 tiny containers but rarely 4. So then I have to ask and I hate having to ask because I am paying for it, it’s part of my order, it shouldn’t be so hard. And I order via DoorDash takeaway so there is no room for a language barrier, it’s as plain as day: 4 salsas.

I will continue to go and recommend LG but make sure you check your orders before leaving. Would definitely be 5 star for me if this wasn’t such a consistent issue.“

“We had a good experience at El Palmar.

The restaurant was clean, and it was not too crowded when we visited in the afternoon, which made for a relaxed atmosphere.

Our server was polite and friendly. While service was a little slower than expected, she appeared to be managing the dining room on her own, and we appreciated her efforts.

We enjoyed the aguas frescas, and the Taco Tuesday specials offered good value. The tacos were good overall, although the carne asada tacos were not as hot as we expected when they were served.

Overall, it was an enjoyable meal, and we would consider visiting again.“

“Great food and terrific pricing for these times! This is a special Taqueria truck that is parked consistently at Fourth Street and San Jose St. in San Juan Bautista. Good selection of items; my favorites are their burrito made with chili verde or their yummy tacos with choice of meat. As of now (12/2024),Taco Tuesday’s price is $1.50/taco (also 3-9 pm on Thursdays.)

“It is a hole in the wall but it has a lot of potential. I went for menudo,while waiting i got chips and salsa. The salsa was good. As i came in, aomeone was eating sopes, they looked really good. I only tried the menudo but i will definitely go back to try other things“

They ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas and the combo meal with chicken enchilada and shredded beef taco. Everything was superb. Ask for the salsa verde if you like some kick. “This is mexican food truck on hwy 101, exit 347 (road129). There is good space for semi trucks. Easily you can park and eat & also sufficent place to turn semi truck. So be easily to stop and eat.

“I got the birra torta here and two tacos al pastor. The tacos were good but the torta was surprisingly delicious upon first bite due to the quality of the birria. The overall taste profile at this location is balanced and deep, meaning it is well-seasoned and flavorful without being excessive or greasy. It is food that can be eaten every day without feeling overloaded. It is also at a very nice location next to a park and lots of trees.

I randomly met the owner one day prior at an unrelated place, and I can see that there is a reason he confidently invited me to try his food, where his lovely wife operates the business and cooking! It is because he knows he can deliver a great food experience! Through word of mouth, I know that I am not the only one who liked the torta here.

There is quite an extensive menu, and I will definitely be back to try more items. I highly recommend the birria. Overall a great spot!“

Their Menudo broth is a little fattier Mama Lupitas and Fish n Chips but comes with more than just tripe which I love, and its available regularly everyday.
