“The best kept secret in Monterey! First of all the FRESH hand-made corn tortillas! OMG! Best in town without question. Huevos rancheros and Chilaquiles were amazing! Authentic. You want spicy? They have the spicy. You prefer mild? Their tomatillo is super mild and DELICIOUS! Fast service with a smile. Plenty of parking. AND THE PRICES ARE SO LOW“

“Ordered the carne asada super burrito and the chicken taquitos. Both were great and came with red and green salsas. Also ordered two kids quesadillas and they were a hit.
Next time we’ll try the taco plate and carne asada nachos.
They also serve breakfast burritos at very reasonable prices starting at 7am.

Parking: No issue with parking, large lot and easily accessible.

Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available with three options. Recommend the kids quesadillas.“

“Authentic mexican and south-american food restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere could be a little bit more comfortable. The food was on point (although the fish in the ceviche was cooked and shredded) and the michelada is a great choice!

Parking: More than five spots directly in front of the restaurant but there is space to park on the street, also.“

“Through town on a business trip, we found this restaurant. We ordered an Asada and a Chicken burrito. Quite honestly, I had better expectations of the place, since it’s a hole in the wall, which in my experience are usually the best spots. Don’t get me wrong, the food is decent but their salsas are not good at all. If they made better/tastier salsas, I would definitely give them a 5-Star review.Pros:The staff is friendly and they make the orders extremely fast. They have free chips and an open salsa bar, which is good.Cons: Salsas are not the best and or tastiest and parking is very scarce, to say the least. Also, the restroom is not ADA accessible.

“My company sent us to Seaside for training, and even though I packed a lunch, the smells coming out of Papa Chevo's was extremely enticing. So my entire crew went inside, and I got a carne asada quesadilla.

“Lupita's strikes again! Once again, completely delicious food! The quality of their food is so good that you won't feel that yucky takeout feeling after eating there! You will feel like your Mexican mom made you a batch of rice and beans! The key is their oaxacan roots! I love how they make their quesadillas with like a thick masa. The tamales are bomb, masa is seasoned correctly and then the fillings are so good. we love the chicken mole ones but also like the rajas and the salsa verde. Today we branched out to try their tortas and new burrito bowls. outstanding! Ask for some Oaxacan cheese on your burrito bowl! Okay, now the bakery... There is always a debate on who has the best donuts on the Monterey Peninsula, I always hear about the donut places, but for me Lupita's is the best. their donut is substantial and then the chocolate on top is decadent! I really keep saying, who would go to any sole donut shop when you can get so much variety here? Donuts, donut holes, cakes, cookies, pan dulce! and my ultimate favorite... a loaf of morning glory bread!!! Like a carrot cake bread with oats! trust me! super delicious! Lastly, they are super friendly! I love their staff! I am currently working with them to do custom donuts for my son's upcoming birthday! They are always willing to work with their customers to make them happy!“

“Went here for lunch during EOB and it was some of the best food I’ve ever had. The pupusas with cheese and loroca were absolutely delicious and some of the best i’ve had, also they were only $3 each which was insane to me I would have happily paid twice for the same meal. Our waitress was super sweet and my friend who got the chicken quesadilla said it was great as well. I will definitely be back soon and I’m happy I’ve found such an amazing restaurant!!“

“Taco Tuesday - $1.50 Tacos, they are small but they pack a big punch - I had the Pastor Tacos and they were awesome.

Also tried their Regular Burrito of Carne Asada. Gonna have to stick to the Tacos after all, they are called "Tacos El Jalisciense Seaside" not Burritos El Jalisciense.“
