We called in on our way back from Pinnacles National Park and tried the quesadillas, which were delightful, though the camarones à la diabla really stole the show. All fresh and spicy, served with spot on beans and salad. The local town is very welcoming, and the service was relaxed. They also offer a good range of Mexican lemonades.“

“We were redirected to the 101 due to the shutdown of the PCH and stopped for lunch in Gonzales, a very unlikely place for tourists to err... So we ended up in La Plaza bakery for a lunch made of perfectly executed burritos, tacos and tortas, a very helpful staff, delicious bakeries as dessert, all for a very reasonable price, which is always a good suprise in the usually overpriced state of CA. Well done La Plaza and keep up the great work!“

“Best tacos I've had in a while. The asada and alambre tacos were full of flavor on what seemed to be hand-made corn tortillas. The tacos were fully loaded with meat. The salsa for the chips was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The cucumber lemon beverage was perfect not too sweet, perfect. The Chile Verde was amazing.“

We came once before about a year ago while driving through on a road trip, and we liked it enough to come back and still really enjoyed it. I had the chicken mole and the mole sauce was really good, not too sweet like so many others. The chicken was tender and falling off the bone. My husband got a pastor super burrito and the meat was cooked and good quality (I hate dried out or overly fatty pastor).“

“After new management came the restaurant has really been amazing. The food quality and the customer service has vastly improved.

Parking: There will always be parking available.

Kid-friendliness: The employees are very kind. They were very patient when I let my son order for the first time.

Wheelchair accessibility: I’m handicap but it was no problem getting into the restaurant as there is accessible ramps.“

“We made a pit stop here to get lunch on the drive back. Service was fast and friendly, and we ordered a few tacos to go. No pictures because we started eating right away 😂 it was just good, simple and fresh tacos. The tortillas were really soft but also crisped on the grill. It’s nice that it’s inside a grocery store so you can grab water or any other extras needed for the car ride.“

“Hands down, one of my absolute favorite things here is the Torta de Pierna. Growing up, whenever I went to Mexico, there was a lady who sold tortas right out of her house. The ones here taste almost identical to hers—nostalgic, delicious, and as you can see in the photo, the cross-section looks incredible. The bread she uses for all her tortas (the Torta de Milanesa is another huge favorite) has the absolute best texture.
​My dad is super picky about Menudo, but this is one of the very few places he actually approves of because most spots don't cook the meat right. A few highlights that make their menudo top-tier:
​House-Ground Black Chilis: The owner blends and grinds these himself. It adds insane flavor to the caldo, but go easy on it because it packs some real heat!
​Homegrown Lemons: He literally grows the lemons in the back, and they are super fresh and juicy.
​Handmade Tortillas: Made fresh, which makes all the difference with the broth.
​A couple of minor things to keep in mind:
​Seating: Space is pretty limited inside. If you can, grab the spot right to the right when you walk in—the sun hits it just right and it's the best seat in the house.
​Prep details: You might have to pick a few stems out of the oregano and trim a tiny bit of pellejo off the menudo meat, but honestly, it’s not a big deal at all given the quality.
​Pan Dulce: The bread is solid, though the selection is a bit limited compared to larger bakeries.“

Wish there were more things that came in it, but overall amazing and the person who runs the truck is really welcoming and nice. “Jorge is the BEST! He makes my tacos & burritos on point. I have been going there for 3 1/2 years & it's always pleasant. I have also had the torta & sope. They got our order slightly wrong once but it was still great because whatever you order there, you will be impressed, and they gave us an extra taco for the error. “Came across this place on our way to Santa Barbara and the food is delicious. I had chicken enchiladas verde and it was delicious, plus their rice. My husband had the recommended fish dish with scallops, prawns, octopus & scallops. It was delicious as well. The sauce was a little spicy but just enough to still enjoy the flavorful meal.“

“I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at this Taco Bell location. The service is always prompt, and the food comes out hot as well. Easy access to the front entrance and drive-thru, with parking in the rear if you intend to dine inside. It's been some time since I've eaten inside, but the windows are floor to ceiling, making it easy to identify cleanliness of the lobby; so basically always spotless.“
