“it was our first time being here, we ordered in person around 30 minutes before closing, and a lot of people had ordered ahead so we ended up waiting like 30 minutes for the food. It was well worth the wait though!! I got a regular carnitas torta and my boyfriend got the carne asada fajitas burrito and they were so delicious. The meat was so tender and everything tasted amazing altogether. I recommend ordering ahead for pickup; it’s very popular and deservingly so. The woman behind the counter was also so lovely and patient, highly recommend!!“

“Ramen Boy is an absolute diamond of a spot. Walking in, the atmosphere catches your eye in such a comforting and cozy way, immediately making you want to stay a while. If I could give the atmosphere 6 stars on its own, I would.

Greeted by kind waitstaff, I was already feeling like this place would be worth coming back to again even if the food wouldn't be up to par.

Luckily, the food wasn't just a par, but a hole in one. I ordered 3 starters, the California Roll, the Spicy Tuna Roll and Takoyaki (Octopus), originally listed on the menu as Ebiyaki (Shrimp). The California roll was very good, and the Takoyaki certainly surpassed expectations. But the star of the starters was far and away the Spicy Tuna Roll. Never in my life had I tried a Spicy Tuna roll so full of character. For such a simple roll, Ramen Boy found a way to make it extra special.

For the main course, I tried the Donkotsu Black Ramen. The broth had so much more character, depth and flavor than anything I was expecting. The noodles were soft and creamy, the pork was cooked perfectly where it was falling apart, but crispy on the edges. The entire bowl came together in a symphony that Beethoven himself would be jealous of.

No doubt in my mind, this is place to come back to over and over again. It is near perfect in every way.“

Other parts were; carne asada plates - delicious! Came with two pretty good size steaks, chicken mole enchilada - delicious! The taquito plate and the fish plate, also delicious. It should also be noted that their portion size is really good. We all ended up taking some food home. Oh, big shout out to our server (wish I had gotten his name... Sorry) he was very attentive. He took the time to explain what the dishes came with, and what I really really appreciated was that he asked if any of the kids' orders needed to be modified because he knew sometimes kids don't like everything the plate comes with. I'm from Chicago Illinois and we are big on food quality . You can tell that steak was authentic!
