“They have Karaoke on Wed which was really fun. This BLT was to die for. Triple Decker with Avocado and I had them put the Jalapeño on the side. Shoestring fries were yummy. My friend got a burrito that was less than stellar and totally different from the menu description, she liked it though. The interior is big and has a stage right in the middle. It was hot outside but inside was cool and comfortable. The stairs were the biggest drawback lol.“

“When I first moved to Sacramento, this is one of the very first places my aunt and I discovered well, she discovered it first, anyways, it's become such an etched entity in my brain. I will never forget this place. I don't go as often as I would like, nor as often as I did before, but in all respect it is one of the best places. It's a hidden gem. Most definitely the name says it all. And by such crazy circumstances, my aunt actually works there Now. She's one of the bartenders, Go figure. But most definitely if you are in Sacramento and you're just wanting to go out for some nightlife but casually this is the spot. Karaoke is amazing! Super fun. So are all the people. It's more diverse now than it was before, But you have to understand word of mouth now so people do show up! I love this bar. I really do. They do a lot of potlucks as well. There's not large amounts of food that is available there but they will on occasions have the hot dogs going. They have a wonderful bloody Mary Saturday and I say wonderful and that word does not do it justice. They are amazing but you'll have to find the actual Saturdays that they are available. “Nice neighborhood bar with several pool tables, 2 dart machines and a few pinball machines. Its no longer Johnny's club 53 tho. There's a new owner and it's now called Time Out Tavern. Pool tournaments every Thursday night at 8pm.“

What started as a spontaneous date day adventure led us to the charming streets of Historic Folsom, where we stumbled upon Plank’s Craft Kitchen & Bar — a rustic gem with just the right mix of cozy and cool. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was impeccable. The service? Flawless. Our server was on point from start to finish — warm welcome, perfectly timed courses, and not once did our glasses go dry. Everything flowed with such ease, it felt like we were regulars. Drinks first, because priorities: • The Lake Lennon was a total hit — crisp, refreshing, and that subtle hint of cucumber was chef’s kiss. • The Strawberry Gimlet was almost too easy to drink. Sweet, smooth, and gone in the blink of an eye. • The Bees Knees packed the strongest punch of the three, but when I asked for a splash of lemonade to mellow it out, they happily brought it over — instantly elevated the whole experience. Appetizer: We went with the cheese curds, and let me tell you, these weren’t your average bar snack.
