On the Y is an excellent bar with good music, hosting a variety of events such as goth nights, hip hop, and bass events from Cymatics Events. The bar offers cheap drinks, fast service, and plenty of seating. It features a great stage that hosts live heavy metal bands, which is a unique offering in the area. The owner is described as a really cool guy, and the staff, including the bartender and a younger employee named Shauna, are welcoming to all. Many visitors enjoy the live music, good sound quality, and friendly atmosphere. The bar is also known for its honest, punk rock vibes, with great bartenders, a good beer selection, and occasional pool tables. Although parking can be difficult, the inside vibe makes up for it, and food is available through delivery, with a simple menu of chips and snacks. Overall, On the Y is a dive bar with a strong musical scene and a welcoming environment for all.
