**Taquería Los Compadres** is a favorite taqueria in Arden, offering authentic Mexican food with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The super carnitas burrito is always perfect, with tender and flavorful meat, salsa that has the perfect kick, and huge portions. The birria tacos are some of the best in the Sacramento area, perfectly balanced with meat and cheese, and the consome on the side is also delicious. Street tacos like pollo chicken, pastor pork, and carne asada beef are good, but the birria tacos are highly recommended. Free chips and salsa bar are available, with a variety of salsa and condiments, including tajin cucumbers. The carnitas burrito and chili verde plate are very tasty and well seasoned, with food coming out fast and prices that are very fair. However, some dishes like the chilaquiles were watery, the egg had a lot of oil and salt, and the refried beans contain pork without warning. The stuffed chile was more or less good but had no sauce. The cucumber water was very sweet. Some orders took a while, and staff mood can be bad. The drowned cakes do not resemble the true ones from Guadalajara.
