“Came with my boyfriend on a whim because I was craving pupusas. I was blown away my the flavor and excellent taste of the food! I’m not a fan of green salsa, but they brought out their chips with it and it was fantastic. We had the cheese and jalapeno pupusas, street tacos, shrimp ceviche, and camarones taco. Every single item was above and beyond my ecxpectations! This exactly what I was craving. It is a small hole in the wall type that is easily missed, but if you are near do not pass it by!Vegetarian options: Cheese and jalapeno pupusas a must!“
“The best Mofongo I've had in so long. This is the only place I know of in the Sacramento area with great Mofongo. I had it with the Carne Frita which was done perfectly! and the rice was done perfectly as well. I'm glad I found this place in my new neighborhood!!“
“Have you ever loved a place so much that you don’t want to share it because if everyone finds out it’ll too busy?!?!? lol It's true! This place is the best! Everything… I mean EVERYTHING on the menu is great! Chilaquiles, wet burritos, tacos, tamales, papusa… it’s all amazing! When you dine in they give your table a plate of chips & beans(I’m not the biggest bean person)…bomb! The people there don’t speak too much English, but enough to take your order. Don’t be scared, they’re the sweetest people! So show your love for one of the best mom & pop restaurants in town.“
“Hidden gem. I’ve had burritos and tamales here and they were both delicious, each ingredient tasted good on its own. The place is cute and people who run it are super nice.Parking: Spots available for carry-out service and lots of parking for done-in too“
“Las Palmas has been part of South Sacramento for over 20 years. Very generous and giving family towards the local community. Pupusas are fire. The cabbage salsa is always on point. Pupusas are always hot fresh and consistent. Thank you Laura for the wonderful service.“
“Had a craving for pupusas on the way home from the airport and stopped into La Sonsonateca. Couldn't be more happy with our experience and food quality. There is plenty of seating for large groups and we appreciated the aesthetic! The gentleman who took our orders and brought us our meals was very nice and accommodating. And can't say enough about how delicious everything we ordered was. I love their selection of pupusas. Everything tasted amazing. Definitely found our favorite El Salvadoran restaurant!“
“Amazing little hole in the wall that I found totally by accident. First time ever having El Salvadorian food, the pupusas were amazing, the fried plantains were amazing, the rice and beans were the best Latin American rice and beans I've had. Just amazing!“

They also have a attached store where you can buy meats and baked goods.Parking: It's a plaza so there's parking.Kid-friendliness: Beans and rice. Horchata drinks“
“They make the best pupusas around this area, and I especially like the fact that they offer rice flour as another option (versus corn flour ) for the pupusa... the Squash flower with cheese on rice flour pupusas was hands down the best pupusa I've had in awhile.Don't hesistate to go here for some great pupusas“
“Good "hole in the wall" type spot to get quick and affordable food. Usually not a long line or wait times (depending on what you order of course). Also one of the few places that serve plantains in my area & I love them for it.“
