“After enjoying glasses of chardonnay at nearby Luna Lounge (please reference my review if interested), my wife and I headed to The Blind Pig to enjoy a few cocktails. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly bartender by the name of Ronny. Our first round consisted of two dirty martinis (my new drink of choice), which Ronny put his fist (that's a good thing) into making. One of the things that I love about dive bars is the various demographics that usually frequent them (along with their interesting conversations). For our second round we ordered a "Manmosa (yes I know that sounds ridiculously machismo in 2024)" that Ronny insisted on putting a fruity spin on. Not only were we thankful for his suggestion, but his version was GOOD! In real dive bar-like fashion, Ronny provided us both with an extra cup to house the remainder of the Manmosa that could not fit into our glasses (another dive bar perk). As we sat at the bar, my wife and chatted while lightly watching the movie Step Brothers on one of the televisions. Although it was a fairly slow Saturday afternoon, I can imagine that this place gets pretty lively in the latter part of the night though. We observed lots of seating, games, and an area for karaoke (toasted karaoke is the best!). I highly recommend The Blind Pig if you're looking to have deliciously strong drinks at a price that won't have you waking up the next morning rethinking the decisions that you made the previous night!“
“Stopped in to watch the Eagles game since I was staying next door at the Hilton. I was greeted by Joe and some of the other people that were hanging out watching the games. The atmosphere is laid back, casual and chill. I only ordered a drink but saw him go back and make a Philly cheesesteak and some other menu items.“
“I came here for the first time to watch the superbowl this past Sunday, it was great. The food is good the waitresses are great, we also met the owner and he was very welcoming and nice, my husband shared a drink with him. We love that it is dog friendly in the patio area as well! This is a great place to watch any sports as there are multiple TVs and projectors.“
“Ever felt like a place is semi in between fancy or casual. The service is a one man show for front of house, so I could imagine how back of house operates. Its last management was very accommodating to the regulars and first timers. This is my third time coming to this establishment. The food is made in a decent time of waiting and drinks. The menu has all you can think about. And the service is good just need them to pick which one. On the other hand the T.v 's are always on a good game.“
“Players is such a great place to play pool and have a drink with friends. During the week it's not too busy, during the weekend however this place can get crowded. Drinks prices are a little high. I think if the lowered the cost it would drive more sales. And the food need alot of work but overall I love this place.Parking: Large parking lot“
“We were seated promptly on a Saturday night about 6:00 p.m. . The food was good and the portions were fair and the service was satisfactory. They advertise cornbread with the meals so it's kind of their specialty. However they didn't have any prepared at 6:00 before the evening rush came in and said the kitchen was busy! That is their staple item. We had to wait 20 minutes after our dinner to get the cornbread. Everything was okay except they needed to have a little bit better coordination of supplies and cooking in the kitchen. We would go back if in the area.Vegetarian options: I guess you could go there to eat a salad. Or stay home and have carrots.Dietary restrictions: You better stay home and have your tofu if you're worried about dietary restrictions going to a barbecue joint. You might be better served having a rice cake at the house.Parking: Even at 5:00 at night street side parking is very limited and most of the sizable parking lots are several blocks to the west of the restaurant. Plan on walking as Old Town Folsom just doesn't have space for all of the cool shops and restaurants.Kid-friendliness: Sure. People Even bring their screaming babies. They have kids plates.Wheelchair accessibility: Yeah roll on in.“
“Very good oysters. Prolly best in the area. We also had calamari, garlic fries, frog legs, and chicken wings. If I were rating oysters only, I'd give 5 stars. The calamari was OK as was rest of cooked food. The menu does look pretty neat and I'd like to try other options too.Maybe next time I will try the hot pot. I bet it's pretty good.Service was fantastic. Place is clean and open. Not cozy or anything, but kinda generic. I wouldn't go for the ambience, but I go here every time I'm in the area because the oysters are so good.“
“Been here twice in last 3 weeks with my buddy and neighbor Mike. The food was pretty good for a sports bar. Our server the first time was Candace and last night Thursday September 28 was Teresa. Both times the servers were outstanding. They each were fun, friendly and very attentive. They both really added to an already good vibe. Loads of TV's and good viewing layout although the sound was very uneven between tv's and couldn't hear the broadcast for the Packer game. We expect to become regulars here because of the food and the servers. Hope they can sort of the audio issues. Really a fun place !!! Ron K.“
“The lamb gyro is excellent! Nóstimo! Highly recommended! The authentic flavors takes me back to Greece. The portions are as big as the flavors. Huge bar seating and libations to quench your thirst. Kostas was behind the bar providing lively conversation of the motherland and great service. If you're looking for a true taste of Greece, you can't go wrong with Buck Fizz. Absolutely would recommend. I'll definitely be coming back!“
“This is a great place to stop in and have a drink or two good people great times pool tables dart boards also attractions throughout the week the services usually great the people there are usually accountable definitely one of my favorite places to swing into love the “
“This place is awesome! I'm new to CH and Phat Chads has been my go to every week now! The beer selection is good and all the bartenders and cooks are so nice! This is The Fire sandwich with breaded chicken and the new sour cream Chile tots!!! It's amazing!! Come check it out for yourself! You won't be disappointed!!“
“Dani served us and she was absolutely simply amazing. She even let me charge my phone!! She makes the best espresso martinis, I would highly recommend. She was a hoot and half to hangout with. I would recommend this bar to anyone, you will have a great time!!“
“I want to give a huge thank you to the owner and staff of Mountain Mike's for hosting a recent fundraiser for our school. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and the food and customer service was fantastic! Thank you so much for supporting your community!“
“I stopped by today at Harry's Bar and Grill. Harry was out front cooking BBQ. I stopped and purchased some BBQ. Let me tell you, the rack of lamb was fire!!!!. The chicken and ribs were very good. If you want some good food done the right way better stop by Harry's on Sunday's.“
“My sons and I were blown away by the food. This isn't normal bar food. Service was great, atmosphere was legit. All types of games to play or watch games on all the TVs. Both servers checked in on us frequently and provided great suggestions for ordering. A relaxed atmosphere but family friendly.“
“Happy 2024! What better way to ring in a new year than to make some reasonable, attainable, measurable resolutions! For example, visiting more local dives to inspect the vibes and overhear the diatribes. And what better way to adhere to this goal than by writing reviews of these experiences myself, and not using DeepAI. Yesiree. Cedar Room was nearby the movie theatre my pookie and I were going to later in the day over the NYE weekend, and neither of us could remember if we had been in here sober before. Verdict was, we are pretty sure we had not. I've driven by so many times and wanted to. I'm so glad it turned out to be so cool. The decor looks like it hasn't changed in decades, and why fix what is not broken? Exactly. Is it open or not? Well, bars rarely close around here. One way to find out, pull on a big wooden door. I really like when these places are dark inside, too. It reminds me of Europe. That's what happens when there are no windows. You really can't thumb your nose up at $4.50 drinks and $4 shots. Not that we did shots, but I did see the sign proudly advertising such activities. We liked our bartender and the regulars did not seem unfriendly at all. Engrossed in their own convos, sure. But I felt like I could probably join if I felt like it. I did not feel like it. There were a couple nice TVs with college football on. I did partake of the bathroom and the report is that she is clean and fresh smelling. Not sure if the popcorn is still around or if it is cash only. We paid in cash. There is a sink kitchenette in the back of the room, which added to the ambiance we enjoy. I also like that there are no windows, did I mention that? I did. Okay. A+ would recommend, will come again for cheap, stiff drinks, vibe check passed and all. Nothing better than a heavy-handed pour at $4.50. This is not a place to drive to if you're having more than a round or two. Alas, there is plenty of parking outside for the DD or rideshare. Cheers.“
“If you are looking for a neighborhood bar, minus a look when you walk in from all the "locals" which is typically, unwelcoming (personal experience from other local jaunts), then Tallac is your reprieve. The staff is friendly, as well as the regular patrons. Great drinks, clean, friendly staff and patrons...what more could you want or need. Enjoy.“
“My neighborhood bar. Nothing but love and friends that turned into familia. Friday night is my night. Mario and Alex on the 1's and 2's playing all the old school jams. All the OG's attending the pool tournament. Greatest bar tenders.“
“Really cool spot. Inside is a small but open and modern style of wrap-around sports bar, and raised table seating back against the corners and walls. There's also some booths in the back corner by the restrooms. The inside was noisy, but there's an outdoor seating area which was not crowded at all when we went. We could have conversation and a bite to eat, and there was a really good selection of food and drinks. Staff were also pretty friendly and helpful. Great place to try out!“
“I've ordered food from this place at least 10 times in a row. Their hamburgers are to die for and also their lobster, Mac and cheese. It's the best I've ever hand the service excellent every time. Ask for Ashley. Great place to go to watch sports, whatever it may be.“
“Great Food especially the Munchers..! Service was awesome..even when Super Busy Some of the food orders took a lil while..! We were on the Patio during a serious rain storm.. Some leaks but the Rain was intense..! Great a place for our 916 Rams group..!“
“Love their happy hour. Good food compared to other Applebee's locations. Seating spread out.Parking: This location is right by Costco Gas Station. Traffic can get rough in that area if you come in the wrong direction into the parking lot“
“Love this place the environment the staff Plenty of games lots of seating the weekend music is good that's the only time I've ever had to pay a cover but we like to poppin have a cocktail maybe some appetizers and always have a good time spent many of birthdays and hangouts with friends there over the last 30 plus years.“
“First and foremost the place it's self is ran under the most uplifting management and staff !!! The relaxed ambiance of the bar and grill is popular with guest. What's starting to stand out even more is there KITCHEN the cooks are uping there game and here to serve you. And you can't forget a drink, bartenders in standby.“
“This review is based upon 2 visits to Dolan's. My first visit was to just check it out, so I had fries, Guinness and a shot of Irish whiskey. Second time, I brought a friend and we split the beet salad (BEYOND delicious, especially for a bar!), and we split the empanadas that were on special (also very good!). We got to meet Mike Dolan and Cookie, who made us feel like instant regulars. I ended up ordering their old world corned beef and beet salad to take home to.the husband. Oh, and for drinks this tome, we had martinis, and the bartender made them perfectly! (My friend wasn't a fan of them until she tried one here...go figure!)I'm so happy to know I have a neighborhood hang out that not only has good drinks (and assortment), but also great folks, and delicious food!“
“Alright, I admit, I have been driving past this place for decades. I always thought "Huh, cool name. I should stop sometime" but never did for some reason. Last night my wife and I were driving past after an event in Rocklin and we decided to finally give it a shot. Why have we not been here before?! An incredibly cozy and fun neighborhood bar. Great food; my cheesesteak was amazing and the homemade chips were on point. The prices are totally fair. The ambience was fun with a lot of regulars in good spirits. The music was there but not so loud that you couldn't hold a conversation. Apparently one of the owners is from Chicago, so there is plenty of Cubs and Bears paraphernalia along with SF gear (the other owner is NorCal) and it definitely has the Midwest "neighborhood bar" vibe. I half expected to see a bottle of Mallort behind the bar. Anyway, you should definitely stop driving by The Glass Turtle and stop in!!“
“1/24/24 (Wednesday) 8:30pmOnly bowling alley in our area, luckily it’s a great one!! No wait @ 8:30 for a party of 4. $69 after tip for four people for up to 3 hours on a lane. We stayed for just over 1.5 hours.$17.25 a person for shoes, 3 hours on a lane, and water. A great deal!Lanes were roughly half occupied at this time, beware however that weekends and holidays get extremely busy with up to a few hour wait on a lane. You can play your own music if you pay, which sadly means some of the songs played aren’t so great ?Perfect date night idea, or way to kill boredom. For local reviews or travel content you can find us on most socials @sunsetourist“
“Stumbled upon this little hideaway bar, tucked away like a secret waiting to be discovered. First off, parking's a breeze no circling the block for ages. The place itself has plenty of room to lounge and relax, so you're not elbow-to-elbow with strangers (unless that's your thing). The staff? Absolute gems friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. For the sports fans, they've got the games playing on TV, so you won't miss a beat. And here's the kicker free pool! Yes, you heard that right. Rack 'em up without spending a dime. It's the perfect spot for a chill night out, especially if you're looking to escape the usual crowded bar scene.“
