“Love the ambiance of patios. Service is Top-notch. Food was not as good this time. Calamari portion was skimpy. Rib eye steak was supposed to be med-rare but was medium to well done. Mashed potatoes were dry and flavorless. Did not eat more than 1 bite. Vegetables were whole carrots and broccolini, but they needed to be cooked a bit more because they were super super crunchy. So this $55 meal was very disappointing.Parking: Not a problem. Large free lot“

“I haven't been here since I was a kid and I was happy to be back. The food is very good and always makes you want to try new things. The service is a bit slow, but I believe they are severely understaffed. The restaurant is a bit dark and very relaxing, but a younger person, as myself, I love it and can see fine. I've tried multiple items so far and I haven't been disappointed tbh. Only thing I'd change is making the spicy items a bit more spicy. I felt no spice with the items I ordered. I'll be back Shanghai Inn!“

“We really enjoyed our dining experience at Freddies. The ambience is warm and unpretentious. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by our server. Shortly thereafter, Freddie emerged from the kitchen to welcome us and then returned to his kitchen to cook us an amazing dinner of elk medallions and escargot. “If you're looking for European-centric comfort food in a fine dining setting in Palm Springs, Miro's has got you covered. My wife and I met up with my dad in Palm Springs while we were on vacation, and he left it up to me to choose the restaurant. My dad is from Poland, and doesn't like spicy food, so I zeroed in on Miro's, based on Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed. From the moment you are greeted at the entrance, this place delivers great service. Our server, Hugo, was impeccable. My dad can be difficult to please, and Hugo handled him masterfully. I had originally reserved a table on the patio, then switched to indoors the day before, because I was worried it would be too hot outside. I regretted doing this once we got there, because even though it was a bit warm out at 6:00pm the patio is fully shaded, and it would have felt fine to sit out there. I had the beef stroganoff with egg noodles, and the beef was perfectly tender in a delicious creamy mushroom sauce. My wife had the traditional combo platter, which was a lot of food, definitely value for your money. The combo came with goulash, cabbage rolls, and chicken paprikash. All were very good, and wifey was still eating the leftovers two days later. Pops ordered the schnitzel, which I tried and I thought was excellent, very fluffy breading and perfectly seasoned and cooked pork cutlet. The Old Man wasn't happy with the choice of sides: you get a choice of cabbage salad or lentil soup, and he wasn't in the mood for either choice. In the end he went with the salad (which was really good!), but maybe they could have some green salad available for those patrons that don't dig cabbage salad? Funny thing, my dad has been coming to PS for 40 years and he'd never heard of this place (you're welcome, dad). Bottom line: great food in a beautiful setting with great service makes Miro's a place to remember.“

Love the patio and of course inside and the bar.We had : Ahi tuna tacos with salmon roe. Prime beef filet. Short ribs with lobster mash potatoes. Date cake and pineapple upside down cake. Port wine. Bottle of Vineyard 29 Cabernet Sauvignon. Aviation Gin martini. Manhattan cocktail. All items for the two of us. Thank you“

“We had a large family dinner here, 9 people total.including kids. The service was excellent, our server made the night more special with his special attention and friendly humor throughout. The food was top notch, all the pastas and main plates were delicious. We would definitely go here again. The overall ambience is special and needs to be seen.“

“We really enjoyed our dinner here. Gina, our server, was the best we have had at any restaurant in a long time! It was later in the evening and she had lots of energy and made really good food and wine recommendations. The food was delicious - we had the Grilled Prime Bavette Steak Frites Au Poivre, the Slow Braised Prime Beef Short Rib Bourguignon and the Salmon dish. Gina had many wine suggestions in all different price categories. Their wine list was extensive. The bread was very good and warm. We sadly did not have room for dessert but will try next time we are in the desert. The only thing they could have improved on, is that they are not kidding when they said it was a "Baby Wedge" salad. The salad was small. I normally split a normal size wedge salad, but this one is not shareable. They could add a little more lettuce and make it bigger.“

“It's the best restaurant in El Paseo. The food is fresh and tasty. Our waitress, the one with a pretty makeup, did a great job on the suggestions. We got Chicken Screws, Empanadas, Ahi, and beet salad.The blond girl did check on our table often. On Saturday night at 6 pm, there wasn't a single empty chair available. “Always on the search for a good wood fired pizza we found it here! Started with cocktails which were good also tried the Boom Boom Shrimp. Delicious! On to the pizzas...that and a glass of wine was PERFECT! Sausage & peppers on one, pepperoni & basil on the other. Crust was amazingly delicious, the sauce and mozzarella were so flavorful. “Whatever Starbucks is putting into their matcha latte is causing inflammation. Either I'm allergic to the oat milk they use or the matcha tea powder mix ... or both ... so I'm finding alternatives. Sotto Voce in palm Desert has been on my radar for quite some time. Their matcha lattes are excellent quality and they don't just automatically dump vanilla syrup in it like Varraco and others do .... So they're definitely more than a cut above the rest. I put a little tiny bit of cane syrup in mine & it was perfect. This store is a bit of a challenge to get to as you have to walk through the whole mall to get to it. But the palm desert garden malls is a beautiful mall as it is open air and I could use a walk in the morning Have a Good Day“

“We celebrated a 80th birthday party there last night. The food and service was excellent. Delfina, our waitress was one of the very best that we had ever encountered. She paid attention to every detail, making our evening all that more enjoyable.“

“Fresh farm to table fare with attentive service and good ol' fashion classics filling the room (and I mean REAL classics as in Sinatra and Armstrong)! Upon arrival the staff effortlessly brings you their gigantic menu which is ever changing to keep up with the seasonal ingredients. We ordered the duck charcuterie board. The fresh baked bread served alongside is reminiscent of North Italia with a nice crunch and brush of olive oil. The duck prosciutto was cut thick, salami tasty and kumquat Jam preserve just the perfect balance. Other tastings included the grilled dates and flatbread. For our entrees, we ordered the tenderloin (cooked to perfection and seriously melts in your mouth) and lamb shank. Both were served with creamy mash potatoes and grilled veggies for a healthy side. Our waiter Alejandra was lovely(!) and so knowledgeable about the offerings for evening. She truly takes pride in her job. Francisco provided top notch service, keeping our glasses full and quickly whisking away our dirty plates. MVP of the evening was Daniel of course and his sous chef who happily labored the evening away to perfect each and every dish from scratch. How do we know? Because we had front row seats to the open kitchen concept and enjoyed every bit of the food magic that unfolded. Love finding these hidden gems where the people that run it truly love what they do. As other reviewers have said, Daniel's isn't just dinner, it's an experience; so, pull up a chair, bring a good friend, enjoy the music and expect to be here for a while. And yes, it's worth it.“

“Such a great spot to buy some wine! I’m visiting from out of town on work, and the selection of wine at my hotel was horrific. I Searched for a wine shop near me and found this place. They had a beautiful selection of wines from all over the world and even introduced me to a couple I have never heard of. Thanks so much for everything.“

“This was our first time at Jake's. I was hesitant about going because I didn't want to spend that much money on an entree but the food was so delicious it was worth the price. I had the Seabass & my husband had the meatloaf. We shared the Miami vice salad as a starter and the carrot cake for dessert. Didn't have any drinks so can't comment there. The Seabass was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Perfect portion. My husband loved the meatloaf. The picture doesn't do it any justice. They brought complimentary bread rolls (one each). The slice of cake is large & definitely for sharing & worth trying. It's a small restaurant with most of the seating on the side patio. Our reservation was at 5:30 in April & some of the tables still had partial sun. Our server Alexia was very attentive. I would love to go back. We brought our dog & they gave him water & treats.“

“Tastings: $20/person (waived with any 2 bottles purchased/person). Wines by the Glass $17 Return visit and had another fantastic time. They were tasting four of their latest releases, with a revisit of your favorite pour. We tried the '19 Grenache, '20 Syrah, '19 El Capitan red blend (47% Cab Sauv, 30% Mourvedre, & 23% Syrah), and '19 Petite Sirah. We also got a special pour of their '19 Cabernet Sauvignon, which we really enjoyed. Last time we visited, they offered us an advanced taste of their 50/50 Grenache/Roussanne which we really enjoyed. Unfortunately, they were already sold out and missed out on picking up bottles. They continue to age their wines for 2 years in neutral oak barrels, and I would say that their reds are medium bodied and quite smooth. In the end, we took home bottles of the El Capitan and Cab Sauv. I highly recommend that you stop and visit this cozy wine tasting room in the heart of La Plaza, in downtown Palm Springs. Mark & Ian (owners/winemakers) are fantastic hosts and darn good winemakers. Cheers!“

“My mother in law wanted to go here for her birthday. It didn't look too impressive from the outside in a strip mall, but it had great ambience once inside. The service was perfect, friendly and efficient. The rack of lamb was delicious and the Hungarian dishes that my wife and mother in law had were authentic, per my MIL.
