“I have given this restaurant a good review in the past and still feel like it’s OK place to eat, but my God don’t order their potstickers. It’s like they use biscuit dough to make them instead of wonton sheets. My prior reviews summary was that this is a perfect replica of a 1956 Chinese restaurant in terms of the menu and I’ve had some very good dishes here.“

“The table seating near the bar is most comfortable and the service was friendly. Family seating in the regular dining area has the view outside. The chef came out to greet us & she was sweet, letting us know how the food was prepared. All lobster dishes are fried yet glistening with sauce. The menu mostly consists of prawns in various ways.“

This is the best place in Redding,CA.
A hidden gem, if you will.

To start, the waitress (maybe owner) was extremely friendly and welcoming.

The food was absolutely incredible. After my husband and received our food, he looked impressed & said that this place is way better than Peter chus, by a long shot; and I can’t agree more.

The waitress checked on us frequently, she noticed my 2 year old had an owie on his finger brought him a bandaid and neosporin , gave him a cookie she had and even brought him more soup because he was asking for more.

I personally haven’t had Chinese food this good and I’ve tried many places including the Bay Area.

I would give this place 1000 stars for our entire experience. Support this local gem of a restaurant, they deserve it.“

“Very good Hot and Sour soup. Mediocre chow mein. Mu Shu Pork was okay. Pork Fried Rice was lumpy and not very good. Garlic Broccoli wasn't garlicky enough. Mongolian Beef was okay. I tried these dishes as a first time customer and will return to try other dishes ONLY because I really enjoyed the Hot and Sour soup so much. I do think this restaurant is better than other Chinese restaurants.“

“We stopped here for lunch during a road trip. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. All of the food appeared freshly made when we made our selections.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the meals we chose. The chow mein lacked flavor, the orange chicken tasted burnt, and the mushroom chicken consisted of very fatty pieces of chicken we couldn't chew. Sadly, much of our meal was not edible.

That said, the restaurant was quite busy during our visit, which suggests it’s a popular place to eat. It’s possible we visited during an off time, and this experience may not reflect their usual quality.“

“We absolutely love Tokyo Garden, the food is fabulous.We live an hour north so when we do come to Redding sushi from Tokyo Garden is a must. Today's visit was extra special because it is my birthday. We went and got our order and noticed right before leaving they made a mistake with our sashimi, when letting them know of the mistake they very sweetly and graciously corrected the mistake and let us keep the other food. That was so special and sweet and we appreciated it so much. I also wanted to point out how extremely sweet the staff always is. Victoria and Kaylee went above and beyond. If you have not been, we highly recommend you do. 👌 ♥️!!!!“
