Unfortunately this main stay restaurant is closing at the end of February. It was crazy busy tonight but that did not affect service. The food was great as always. My wife had the zarzuela. The broth is special. Somehow they have found away to balance the flavors. I had the halibut. Perfectly cooked with a nice thin crisp skin. Too bad we won't be able to return.
I want to write one last review as Chez fades into the sunset . I started with Michael Franks and Robert Bell back in the days of Courtney's. They had three restaurants in the South Bay, Courtney's in Manhattan beach, Courtney's Bistro in Hermosa, and Cafe Courtney's In Redondo (?). Great date places and even then the group was introducing "California Cuisine" to the South Bay. We love to come for our special occasions. Just a hint, don't go to any restaurants on or close to Valentine's day. Food comes out slower than normal, and the service is bogged down by the number of customers. We loved the entrees and the desserts were over the top fabulous!! Can't say enough good things!!
