“I would go to Jawadi Halal Meat Market everyday.
What a GEM of a store with fresh meat and different groceries.
Mr Jawadi and his staff Francesco are absolutely the kindest and extremely helpful.
I needed tendons to make a certain dish and no one really carries it...they special ordered it for me at no extra charge.
I asked for meat for my animals and Brother Jawadi gave me two big bags without any charge ????❤️❤️
This is our new place of business that we will be frequenting for all our meat and grocery needs.
They carry halal soft candies that my husband loves.
I would give them a hundred ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stars

We had spicy boneless chicken kebab plate based on their recommendation - very flavorful, not super spicy, and huge portion, with plenty of leftovers! We also enjoyed the appetizer combo with tzazkiki, falafel, baba ganoush, and dolmeh. Finished off with takeout baklava that I am enjoying right now! And to cap it off, Sylvia overheard my friend mentioning my birthday and treated us to a tiramisu. We only had a forkful each because were too full but I loved it with my morning coffee. There were quite a few pickup orders while we were there! Highly recommend and can't wait to go there again!“

Even the rice is completely different and cooked to perfection. The food is amazing, the restaurant is very clean, and the service is excellent. “As a tourist visiting Los Angeles all the way from India, I wanted to explore some authentic South Asian flavors—and Tawakull Tandoori absolutely blew me away! From the moment I walked in, the warm hospitality made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with the aroma of fresh spices welcoming you in like an old friend.

I ordered the Chicken Biryani, a Lamb Karahi, and of course, some fresh garlic naan—and every bite was bursting with flavor. The tandoori meats are perfectly marinated and cooked to juicy perfection. The spice level was just right, and you can tell everything is made fresh with real love and tradition behind it.

The staff were so friendly and attentive, even offering great suggestions for what to try as a first-timer. I also tried the mango lassi, which was the perfect refreshing finish to an already fantastic meal.

If you're in LA and craving rich, flavorful, and authentic Pakistani food, Tawakul Tandoori is a must-visit. I honestly wish I had discovered this place sooner on my trip—I'll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

“Technically a small grocery store with kitchen. Their meat samosas are to-die for. They have goat, beef, chicken, or potato. They also have what we would call baked empanadas and stuffed puff pastry as well, but our family craves the samosas. Kitchen is on-site and also offers typical Northern-India / Pakistani fare that is mostly ordered "to go" and by the "from there" people, so it must be authentic and region-specific. Chutney for sure is - very different from Anarbagh and very spicy hot-and-sour for the average American taste, so be warned. Everything except samosas/empanadas/pastry is cooked to order - no hot lamps there.“

The prices justify the more than generous portions, and you’re not left feeling like you got lied to. Flavor is amazing, always on point. “Incredible food with Incredible prices. We had the chicken wrap with fries and fountain drinks. Total bill under $15 each. Seats are hard, unpacked for your discomfort but hey... who cares! A bit noisy too with piped in music. Also took longer than I expected to receive our food but it's scratch made. Some of the moistest flavorful chicken I have ever had. I'll be back!“
