“Thank You Pierre Pierre for making my birthday special. The food was so delicious. The steaks, Pasta, Mash Potatoes, Lobsters, Mac and cheese and chicken even the salad. I love the singing Happy Birthday. The napkins a host places it on your lap very elegant. My mother is picky she was very impressed by this restaurant and service. We will be back soon“

“Sorely needed restaurant in Alameda. There’s good southern/soul food in Oakland but either parking/transit options are compromised or longish delivery times leave food soggy. This place has very fresh ingredients and great (read: actual) seasoning. Probably the best restaurant Mac & cheese outside of Homeroom. Hope they become a fixture in the Alameda restaurant scene.“

This is slow food at it's best. Don't come if you are in hurry, or hangey.

But worth the wait if you love seafood and plan a leasurly meal.

We went Friday night after 7. There were only 7 table, some pushed together to accomodate bigger parties. Was greeted and told when large party left, 7 people party plus our party of 2 would be seated at those table. When seated, we got menus, water, and then waited to order. We had already observed this timeline while waiting, and saw those seated earlier oprdering, and just receiving food. So it was as expected.

Food was excellent! Salad so crspy fresh, calamaries crispy, tender, not heavy batter or rubbery. Sauces and dressing creamy and fresh tssting.

Fish same crispy light coating. Lots of fries, neither tried. Next time may ask if can uptier with garlic fries. My shrip boil was more like prawns, 1 lb 19.95, headless plus $1. A bargain, garlic butter mild. I like that you can pick how spicy, and various flavoring.

We were too full to try dessert.
Will try some variety next time with a bigger crowd.“

“Went to dinner with a few of my lady friends after seeing a show in the city, this was the perfect ending to a phenomenal day. I had the crab cakes and they were delish, a couple of people in my group had the fried chicken/fried catfish combo and that looks delicious as well. I highly recommend Lizzy’s Cajun Cafe.“

“I had the pleasure of sharing a meal with the family 12/6/2024. The food was quite delicious. The staff were Wonderful and very accommodating. My lil story is a love collard greens and am always “judgy” about collard greens. Part of my judgyness is stem or no stem. My personal opinion is, if they are cooked properly then Most definitely! And these were cooked to perfection! Taste/flavor, Awesome. The oyster mushroom sliders……You just have to go and taste for yourself. Outstanding! 100% they will be seeing me and mine again. “Excellent spot in Crockett from the crew that did Lucia's Craft Sandwich. I've tried their brunch and dinner, and both times had excellent service and food. They also have a nice local wine and beer selection. Note that the seating is generally communal, but even if that's not your vibe, don't let that deter you.“

“Went to watch a comedy show. The show was nice, not all comedians were funny tho. But regardless, we had some laughs. The place has a nice ambiance. Clean kitchen, clean bathroom. It's quaint and it is good for date night, girls out, family get together. We had oxtail, salad and ribs. They were all good and tasty and flavorful. Unfortunately, the cocktails weren't as good. Would definitely go back for the ambiance and food though.“

“After 2 years of being closed, the Appian Way location is back open for business. The food was hot and fresh and the customer service was on point per the usual. I was happy to be one of the first returning customer on re-opening day. Welcome back to the neighborhood.“

“Got the 8 pieces of dark meat, and it was surprisingly really good with crispy batter and a little spicy kick. It's even good the day after, reheated in the microwave. Definitely coming back here when I have that fried chicken craving.“

“The chicken is consistently good and the biscuits are to die for. They now have Samosas they cook them fresh to order. Everything is cooked to crispy perfection. This is one of my guilty pleasures I don't eat it often but if I could I would.“
