“Delicious selection of cakes and breads that made it tough going selecting just a few. In the end we settled on the lemon meringue tart, apple crumble slice and a baked cheesecake. All were delicious. We also grabbed a cold sausage roll for heating later on and it was a monster. I have reviewed Almost French Bakery before but it’s missing off Zomato.“

“Its a great place to buy cake and baked goods. I got a full pound cake, i forgot to request the icing but she was happy to put it on when i went there to pick it up. They also have boxes of leftover cake for only $5. Good value for your money. Friendly lady at the reception. Will definitely return.“

“We initially got one cupcake to split since we weren't 100% we'd love it. (Cupcakes can be such a hit or miss) My husband took one bite and said, " Yeah, your gonna need your own cupcake!" LOL. He's not even a dessert person, so that was saying a LOT! Best red velvet I've had in a long time. Super moist and rich flavor. Excited to come back to try more flavors!“

James and the Giant Cupcake made our wedding cake & cupcake tower - not only were they DELICIOUS (and vegan and gluten-free!!!) and got tons of compliments/friends asking us where we got them/where they could get more, but they were also a dream to work with and made them beautiful! “JARS Emeryville is the spot! They have so many festive and creative flavors to choose from, and each jar you get is a dream for your taste buds. My favorites so far? The banana cream pie jar and the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake jar… yeeessss! Both are an easy 12/10.

The staff, known as “jar tenders”, are warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the flavors, making the whole experience even better.“

“The place is very affordable, which carries great merit, considering that Sheng Kee operates in the Bay Area. The pastries taste great for the price. The service is relatively friendly and quick at checking out your order. The only possible concern would be the lack of preservatives in the pastries, making these pastries to deteriorate in quality fast. It was not visibly dirty either. Overall, a great place to get a quick bite.“

“Miette is a confectionery heaven. I true candy shop with delicious cakes, tarts, cookies, and confections. And they had samples of their delish Gingerbread. Everyone who works at Miette is so sweet and so helpful. Their cupcakes with Italian meringue are always so delicious. And I wish I had more celebrations in my life so I had more excuses to get their cakes!“

“Kara's Cupcakes is my absolute favorite cupcake place. So much so that whenever visitors have come to town, I would usually make it a point to take them here as my own sweet treat.

While you can't really go wrong with any selections from their menu, their Gluten-Free Chocolate Velvet cupcake (with chocolate sprinkles on top) is divine. It's been my favorite since before I really knew much of what gluten-free was all about. Their Sweet S'mores cupcake is also quite a special treat with its graham cracker crust on the bottom, and its marshmallow-y goodness is reminiscent of a much fancier & delectable version of a Hostess Ding Dong.“
