“I can barely find the words to describe how amazing our total experience was at Cheba Hut. The service was fantastic. The cashier and waitress were so helpful with the menu items and very nice and friendly. The subs we had were the best I have ever had. Fresh ingredients and toasted. “Steven brings an awesome selection of beer to Riverside. So glad to have this taproom in town. The beer selection on tap is amazing, the atmosphere is relaxed. Now he is bringing in awesome food vendors and other events. My husband and I have seen beers on tap that are rarely found. Certainly not in Riverside. “This place is a great hole in the wall Dive style bar that has its own Vibe. Worth visiting, Thursday night was busy, music choices were on point and they straight turn up the volume here to set the tone. Drinks were delicious prices were right and this seemed to really speak to the local vibe of Riverside. Glad my friend made me aware of this sweet spot in a neighbourhood that needs one. “We came in a rainy Saturday and it was pretty packed. We to join their virtual wait list on yelp and in person. The wait was about 35 minutes in total. The food came out in a timely manner and the server was super nice. He checked on us a few good times. The food was so good and we want to return in the future!“

“What a genuine hidden treasure. Was driving along looking for a new place to play pool and stumbled upon the skydive. Seeing it as our diner drive ins and dives weekend we saw the sign with "pool" and did a quick U. Walked in and to our surprise we spent a good amount of time enjoying this lounge. Service was great, hospitable and helpful. We played a few rounds of pool always fun. The tables are in good condition and great music to enhance your game. Played some darts after and just really had a great time here. Cash is preferred but they do have card payment available as well but with a charge. Bring some quarters if you wanna play a few rounds but if you don't not to worry. The host is awesome and has plenty. Large welcoming outdoor patio seating. Give it a walk through and you may be surprised. Will be back for sure.“

“Great place to have a drink and food when they do have it. Taco Tuesday's are so good. Steak night's and breakfast's on the weekend's. They do a chili cook off which is fun. Plenty of parking. Outdoor patio. Plenty of seating. Pool table. Jukebox. They do have event's there. Behind the kitchen there is a room they will set up. There's a male/female restrooms both always very clean. The bartenders are very cool. Both that I can remember are Brenda. I don't exactly remember what the game but it's something using Yatzee sitting at the bar. They have a poker night. I'm sure you can go to their Facebook or call to get more details. Also, if it gets slow they can/will close early FYI! So you may want to call ahead if it's later in the evening.“
“Diners drive ins and dives weekend. Trying new places on the map. Located right at the entrance to the greens. Initially we visited to play some pool but when we walked in we didn't see a pool table anymore but we did see a squirrel trying to get a nut lol. The place was packed. Great to see guys having guy time with their best buds. Open air bar with lots of tables and chairs under the covered patio. No frills, straight and to the point kinda place. Service was friendly upon arriving. Enjoy some golf or the driving range on those perfect days.“
“I've eaten at a Marie calendar's in LA years ago, over 15 years. This year I received my birthday coupon. I usually go to steak houses to celebrate all week long lol. But this year i decided to use most of my freebies that places give. We thought it was going to be packed on a Saturday night. But it was pretty empty. We sat there for about 10-15 min with no one coming to our table to ask for our drinks. I told my husband I'm about to leave this is horrible it's almost empty in here. He said let's give them a chance. So by the time our waitress got there we had our full order ready with drinks and appetizers. So once everything started coming out everything was good and fresh. I ordered a steak and shrimp and hubby had chicken and broccoli. I asked my husband if it was better than Olive Garden. OMG HE SAID YES. ... WAIT WHAT!!!!! HE LOVESSSSSS Olive Garden. Sooo that was a major plus. My meal was very tasteful. They only lost a star for the wait and the cornbread tasted like vanilla cake. We've picked up cornbread in the past cuz the hubby loves it. But for some reason that day it tasted like a vanilla cake that I make it was good, just not cornbread. We will definitely be back.“

The burger had plenty of meat, pickles and veggies, while the fries were delicious and had plenty of seasoning. “I came here for a Radolescents show and wasn't sure what to expect. I did almost a decade in the US Army but had never stepped foot inside an American Legion (or a VFW for that matter) before so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Post 289 is located right on Buchanan Ave in Riverside but it might as well be Corona. Post 289 has its own parking lot. It's not very big and there's no markings for spaces so you just kind of go with the flow. The show was outdoors in their spacious patio. While inside I definitely observed that there were a lot of regulars. This is like a neighborhood watering hole but one in which you'll need a membership to access the cheap booze. That said I never felt uncomfortable or like an outsider. The folks there were very friendly. The show itself was great, especially the Radolescents playing their classic Blue Album in its entirety. Sound was really good and I didn't need my earplugs because it wasn't stupid loud. Casey Royer and Rikk Agnew were hanging out with the crowd so it's felt like an old school punk rock show. Unfortunately one guy was very much over-served and was probably annoying some of the bands. Would I return to Post 289 for a show? Absolutely. They have them sporadically but you have to kind of get lucky. I found this show by accident and it wasn't promoted very well (hence the unfortunate low turnout). As a matter of fact Post 289 has zero posts on their IG. Maybe Facebook is better (of which mine is deleted). Until next time, Post 289!“
